RPM Green Shock Shaft Guards For Traxxas X-Maxx

Rocks, dirt and particles striking your shock shafts cause dents, dings and burrs, which, in turn, cause torn shock seals. Torn shock seals means leaky shocks and poor shock efficiency. RPM Shock Shaft Guards shield the shock shaft from those deteriorating elements, prolonging the life of the shock shaft, which improves the long-lasting efficiency of the suspension and in turn, extends the time between seal replacement and shock rebuilds.

RPM Shock Shaft Guards are a basic style, replacing stock shock spring cups with ones that have installing holes for a thin but tough shield that rises up to the base of the shock body. The guard entirely obstructs particles from striking the shock shaft. The back and sides are open, which avoids particles from constructing inside the guard as well.

The front shield of the guard covers over 100 degrees of frontal direct exposure! That means rocks tossed from the front tires (or from that person you?re trying to pass) won?t ever hit your shock shafts. RPM Shock Shaft Guards are no friction defense devices, indicating our guards never ever touch the working elements of the shocks.

As an added benefit, we increased the length of the tubular spring assistance of the spring cup by nearly 2mm (5/64?). The included length helps prevent the spring from jumping off of the spring perch when the conditions are less than ideal.
