Overview
Quick, rugged and factory-built, the 2S LiPo-compatible ARRMA® SENTON™ 4X4 MEGA RTR comes all set to slam on any surface. This version of the Short Course truck features brand-new equipment that enhances on the original’s currently remarkable performance and durability.
The SENTON™ 4X4 MEGA RTR Short Course truck is DESIGNED FAST, DESIGNED DIFFICULT — developed for amazing slamming speeds and severe, all-terrain toughness. New features to improve its unstoppable performance include a stronger chassis and kept hinge pin plates; guiding with more clearance for stones; a castellated slipper pad and moving gear mesh; and rubber protected bearings throughout.
The Short Course truck now likewise includes the Spektrum™ SLT3™ transmitter and SLR300 receiver. The transmitter is ergonomically created for extended periods of fatigue-free driving and has a foam wheel for accurate fingertip control plus an enhanced hand grip and trigger feel. New bashers will have the ability to set throttle limitations at 50% or 75% up until they are all set to use the complete speed capacity. The SLT3™ works with Tactic® SLT™ receivers to run other RTR vehicles you might own, and includes a third channel to manage optional functions such as lights and winches on designs that have them.
It retains the innovative modular design refined by ARRMA® engineers for easy element access and upkeep. The power module, with improved dirt management, includes a MEGA 550 motor, motor plate, slipper clutch assembly and gear cover. The power module can be removed from the chassis as a complete unit by eliminating simply one screw. With the power module got rid of, the slipper clutch can be reached easily for changes by taking out three screws that connect the gear cover. The gear ratio can be carefully tuned as the power module now uses a sliding motor mesh design.
A two-piece molding screwed to the truck’s chassis acts as its electronics module, including a water resistant receiver box, servo install and ESC tray. The SLR300 receiver installs inside the receiver box for defense from dirt and moisture. The ultra-compact ESC is screwed to the top of the module, permitting fast access to the on/off switch, while the servo installs to the side. All three components can be removed together, rapidly and easily.
The differential module homes each differential unit in an innovative yoke design. Only 8 screws need to be removed to release the front and rear yokes. The power module can then be removed, permitting you to pivot the gearbox cases for differential access. The SENTON™ 4X4 MEGA RTR comes brushless-ready with 37T 1.35mod diffs with silicone O-rings. The large equipments can endure huge torque, and internal metal equipments have been chosen for reliability during severe bashing.
Its full-time 4WD transmission uses strong front, back, and centerline telescopic driveshafts that can’t be lost during heavy effects, unlike dogbones. A basic, reliable, responsive guiding assembly complements the ultra-reliable drive system and features a servo horn with built-in servo saver. The SENTON™ 4X4 MEGA RTR includes the water resistant Spektrum™ SPMS650 digital servo for 20% more torque than the previous version’s ADS-5 servo.
The self-bleeding, oil-filled shocks, now with silicone O-rings, use a tried and tested, coil-over design for simple upkeep and fantastic handling. Their innovative rod-end has a molded-in spring perch for extra toughness. High chassis guards limit the amount of dirt and debris that can enter into the chassis tub. Side impact nerf bars even more secure the chassis and body shell. Shock-absorbing loops keep the front and rear bumpers protected to the chassis, using defense versus heavy impacts.
Tough, multi-spoke black SC wheels with vented dBoots® Fortress™ SC tires offer the SENTON™ 4X4 MEGA RTR reliable traction for slamming on nearly any surface. Several battery types can be used with the hook-and-loop mounting, from 6-cell NiMH packs to a 2S block pack. This version features a Dynamite® 3300 mAh 8.4V 7-cell Speedpack® 2 Hump NiMH battery that provides 35% more run time compared to the 2400mAh pack of its predecessor.
