All the Truck You Could Want and Need By Jacob H on November 4, 2023 Verified Purchase The title says it all. This is frankly the best RC truck I have ever seen or have ever used. I have been in-and-out of the hobby since the early 2000s as a kid, and this thing puts the biggest smile on my face of any car I have owned or driven. My family have owned earlier Traxxas models, Team Associated's, HPI's, and my uncles were skeptical when I brought this thing out due to their poor experiences with previous trucks like the T-Maxx. Unlike the T-Maxx, Mini Maxx takes hits that would shatter a T-Maxx, Slash, Hoss, or Rustler and keeps going with nothing but scratches. I accidently hit a park table at-speed trying to show off for my son and thought for sure I'd snapped the front of the truck off. It only scratched the bumper. Easily the toughest truck in its category. It's super easy to work on--I'm usually a bit cowardly when it comes to looking over transmissions or diff housings, but this thing was easy to work on, adjust, and reassemble. And even on 3S it'll do 40 mph out of the box. When I got the truck out of the box, the motor cogged a little bit, but that was solved quickly with help and troubleshooting from Traxxas' and Vortex's support teams. In finishing, let me put it this way: Whenever I have finished bashing any of the other vehicles I've owned, I rarely have bothered to clean them or treat them nicely. This one is different. Even with my reckless driving, I've wanted to keep the truck in top condition. I baby this truck not because it needs it, but because I want it to keep delivering like this for me two decades from now. And I believe that it's the first and only truck that can do that for me.
