Tamiya 1/48 Grumman F4f-4 Wildcat Plastic Model Airplane Kit

This is a Plastic 1/48 WWII Grumman F4 Wildcat Plane from Tamiya.

A
product of the Grumman "Iron Works" the F4F Wildcat was the United States Navy's sole
defense against the Japanese Zero when war broke out in December 1941. Not as
quickly or maneuverable as the Zero, the rugged Wildcat however held its own
through making use of remarkable techniques. This Tamiya kit builds into a comprehensive
1/48th scale replica of the F4F-4: the first version fitted with folding wings
High quality water triggered decals are consisted of for 4 aircraft.

FEATURES:
Highly in-depth 1/48th scale plastic kit for fixed display
Approx 60 parts in medium grey and clear with great recessed panel
    lines.
Highly in-depth engine, wheel well and landing gear.
Multi-part canopy might be presented open or closed.
Main wheels have separate centers for simple painting.
Highly in-depth cockpit with accurate cockpit console, seat, control
    stick and rudder pedals, and bulkheads.
2 drop tanks consisted of and prop rotates thanks to a polythene bushing
    in the engine which also lets the prop be added late in assembly.
    (This makes painting much easier and makes prop damage less most likely).

MARKING
ALTERNATIVES:

markings, airplane identification letters, and red & white rudder

Color scheme for above versions:
    -Leading Surface areas: Blue Grey; Bottom surfaces: Light Grey.
    4: VF-22 (USN), USS Self-reliance, "22-F-1".
    -Leading surfaces: Sea Blue; Fuselage sides: Intermediate blue.
    -Bottom surfaces: White.
Additional Paints Required: Colors are all flat other than where
    indicated:
Detail colors: Interior Green, Black, Silver, Yellow, Red, Blue,
    Khaki, Tan, Enthusiast, Gloss Red, Semi-gloss Black, Green, Brown, and
    Gloss Blue.

Although the F4F-4 had folding wings, this kit does not featured the
