Tamiya 1/35 King Tiger "Production Turret" Tank Plastic Model Kit

This is a 1/35 Plastic German King Tiger Production Turret Tank from Tamiya.
This set is advised for age 10 and up.

In order to counter the increasing threat of Russian tanks throughout the
latter part of the 2nd World War, Germany began advancement of a new heavy
tank in February 1943. Formally designated the Panzerkampfwagen VI-B Tiger
II,
however much better called the King Tiger, it included thick armor and a powerful
primary weapon. Henschel and Porsche, who had previous experiences in the manufacture
of heavy tanks, came up with rival models including different turret
configurations. After trials, the Henschel style was adopted for production.
The King Tiger carried the Type 43 L71, 88mm high velocity primary weapon which was
capable of penetrating 170mm thick armor plate at a distance of 1000 meters.
