1/10 RC 1997 Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR (TT-01 Type-E) Limited Edition - Re-Issue

This Tamiya radio control model replica recreates the 1997 Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR. The model was initially released as Product 58214 on the TA-03R chassis. This release sees the traditional race automobile body installed on the tested and newbie friendly TT-01 Type-E chassis! The real automobile was powered by a

behemoth 6-liter V12 engine. In 1997 it had a highly successful FIA GT Championship season, taking six wins in eleven races on its way to the group (AMG-Mercedes) and motorist championships.

Evolved Chassis

The bath tub frame of the evolved shaft-driven 4WD TT-01 Type-E has its motor and battery close to the ground for lower center of mass and maximum balance. Installed on the bath tub frame is a fiberglass reinforced nylon upper deck and equipment covers enhancing rigidity, as well as a 3-piece tie rod supplying smooth guiding action. The low center of mass, extremely balanced style, 4-wheel double wishbone suspension system, and front and rear differential equipments all come together to produce an outstanding driving experience.

Separate formed parts recreate wing, spoiler and side mirrors.

Stickers are included to recreate markings, with window masking sticker labels to help throughout the painting process.

Silver wheels are coupled with racing slick tires.

The TT-01 Type-E chassis includes shaft-driven 4WD for simple handling, and fantastic customization.

A large range of Hop-UP Option parts is offered to tune the chassis.

Includes 540 Torque-Tuned motor.

Required Items: 2-Channel radio, guiding servo, 7.2volt battery pack with compatible battery charger, and Tamiya's PS paint.
