Introduction
The Spektrum AR631 AS3X Telemetry Receiver is a DSM2 and DSMX capable receiver. Its compact footprint is created to fit in a large range of airplane designs including park leaflets and larger sport designs. The AR631 is a full variety 6-channel receiver with built in AS3X and SAFE stabilization, which counters the impacts of wind, turbulence and torque utilizing 3-axis MEMS gyro and special flight control software application tuned by professional RC pilots. There is no delay in control action or limits on control throws. You'll just feel like you're flying an expertly tuned model that does precisely what you want.

Overview
The AR631 includes fly-by variety telemetry and a bind button that makes it simple to bind with no plugs needed and provides both SmartSafe technology and Hold Last along with pre-programmed failsafe types set through forward programs. A long 230mm 2.4gHz antenna, ideal for getting optimal reception when installed into tight spaces. The AR631 also includes Smart Telemetry support.
With Smart Innovation the normal servo connector delivers the throttle signal to the ESC, plus the ESC can send telemetry information like voltage and existing back to the receiver. The AR631 receiver throttle port (Channel 1 port just) will immediately discover when a Smart compatible ESC is linked. ESCs with Smart and IC series adapters can also pass along battery information from compatible Spektrum Smart batteries. Spektrum Bird™ ESCs work with the AR631 receiver for Smart Innovation features.
For Smart to operate you should have a Smart ESC paired with a Smart telemetry receiver, and a Spektrum DSMX transmitter with telemetry. An update for your transmitter may be needed for Smart functions. See the Spektrum website to sign up and update your transmitter. If a standard ESC or servo is plugged into the throttle port on the AR631 receiver, the throttle port will run typically (PWM signal) like any standard RC system.

SAFE® Technology
SAFE® (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology flight modes assist pilots prevent over-controlling their designs. SAFE usages AS3X to provide normal flight efficiency, but with restricted bank and pitch angles to avoid the airplane from getting in extreme mindsets.
 







Long 230mm 2.4GHz Antenna
The AR631 includes an extra-long 230mm 2.4ghz antenna (approximately 9 inches), particularly crafted for use in tight installations. When installing your receiver into an aircraft where there is less then perfect space away from batteries and other gadgets, a long antenna is key. This allows users to set up the receiver in tight spaces and separate the antenna for optimal reception and link quality. When placing your antenna, it is best to have it a minimum of 75mm ( approximately 3 inches) away from batteries, electronic speed controls (ESC), ignition systems, and other electronic gadgets. Utilize the incorporated flight log telemetry to carry out a through variety test to much better evaluate your setup.
 



Forward Programming
You can set up the AR631 receiver wirelessly, straight from any compatible Spektrum™ transmitter, through the Forward Programs menu. No different computer system or mobile phone is required for setup and changes.
 





 



Smart Telemetry
To take pleasure in the complete advantages of Smart™ technology, utilize the AR631 receiver with a Smart ESC and telemetry capable Spektrum DSMX® transmitter.
