Introduction
The Spektrum AR631 AS3X Telemetry Receiver is a DSM2 and DSMX capable receiver. Its compact footprint is developed to fit in a large range of aircraft models consisting of park leaflets and bigger sport models. The AR631 is a complete range 6-channel receiver with integrated in AS3X and SAFE stabilization, which counters the results of wind, turbulence and torque using 3-axis MEMS gyro and unique flight control software application tuned by specialist RC pilots. There is no hold-up in control reaction or limits on control tosses. You'll simply seem like you're flying an expertly tuned model that does exactly what you want.

Overview
The AR631 features fly-by range telemetry and a bind button that makes it easy to bind with no plugs needed and uses both SmartSafe innovation and Hold Last along with preset failsafe types set through forward shows. A long 230mm 2.4gHz antenna, best for getting optimal reception when installed into tight areas. The AR631 also features Smart Telemetry support.
With Smart Innovation the typical servo connector provides the throttle signal to the ESC, plus the ESC can send telemetry data like voltage and current back to the receiver. The AR631 receiver throttle port (Channel 1 port only) will instantly identify when a Smart compatible ESC is linked. ESCs with Smart and IC series adapters can also pass along battery data from compatible Spektrum Smart batteries. Spektrum Bird™ ESCs are compatible with the AR631 receiver for Smart Innovation features.
For Smart to work you must have a Smart ESC paired with a Smart telemetry receiver, and a Spektrum DSMX transmitter with telemetry. An update for your transmitter may be required for Smart features. See the Spektrum website to register and update your transmitter. If a standard ESC or servo is plugged into the throttle port on the AR631 receiver, the throttle port will run normally (PWM signal) like any traditional RC system.

SAFE® Technology
SAFE® (Sensing unit Assisted Flight Envelope) innovation flight modes help pilots avoid over-controlling their models. SAFE uses AS3X to deliver typical flight performance, but with limited bank and pitch angles to prevent the aircraft from getting in extreme mindsets.
 







Long 230mm 2.4GHz Antenna
The AR631 features an extra-long 230mm 2.4ghz antenna (roughly 9 inches), particularly crafted for use in tight installations. When installing your receiver into an airplane where there is less then ideal area away from batteries and other gadgets, a long antenna is crucial. This permits users to install the receiver in tight areas and isolate the antenna for optimal reception and link quality. When placing your antenna, it is best to have it at least 75mm ( roughly 3 inches) away from batteries, electronic speed controls (ESC), ignition systems, and other electronic gadgets. Use the integrated flight log telemetry to perform a through range test to much better examine your setup.
 



Forward Programming
You can set up the AR631 receiver wirelessly, straight from any compatible Spektrum™ transmitter, through the Forward Programming menu. No different computer or mobile device is required for setup and changes.
 





 



Smart Telemetry
To enjoy the complete benefits of Smart™ innovation, use the AR631 receiver with a Smart ESC and telemetry capable Spektrum DSMX® transmitter. The AR631 features fly-by telemetry and will provide vital telemetry data such as current, voltage, temperature level and RPM is sent out straight to your transmitter.
