Introduction
The Spektrum AR631 AS3X Telemetry Receiver is a DSM2 and DSMX capable receiver. Its compact footprint is designed to fit in a wide range of aircraft models consisting of park leaflets and bigger sport models. The AR631 is a complete range 6-channel receiver with integrated in AS3X and SAFE stabilization, which counters the impacts of wind, turbulence and torque using 3-axis MEMS gyro and unique flight control software application tuned by expert RC pilots. Overview
The AR631 includes fly-by range telemetry and a bind button that makes it easy to bind without any plugs needed and uses both SmartSafe technology and Hold Last in addition to pre-programmed failsafe types set through forward shows. A long 230mm 2.4gHz antenna, ideal for getting ideal reception when set up into tight areas. The AR631 likewise includes Smart Telemetry support.
With Smart Innovation the regular servo port provides the throttle signal to the ESC, plus the ESC can send out telemetry data like voltage and present back to the receiver. The AR631 receiver throttle port (Channel 1 port only) will automatically spot when a Smart suitable ESC is connected. ESCs with Smart and IC series connectors can likewise pass along battery data from suitable Spektrum Smart batteries. Spektrum Bird™ ESCs are compatible with the AR631 receiver for Smart Innovation features.
For Smart to function you must have a Smart ESC paired with a Smart telemetry receiver, and a Spektrum DSMX transmitter with telemetry. If a standard ESC or servo is plugged into the throttle port on the AR631 receiver, the throttle port will operate normally (PWM signal) like any standard RC system.

SAFE® Technology
SAFE® (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology flight modes assist pilots avoid over-controlling their models. SAFE usages AS3X to provide regular flight performance, but with limited bank and pitch angles to prevent the aircraft from getting in severe mindsets.
 







Long 230mm 2.4GHz Antenna
The AR631 includes an extra-long 230mm 2.4ghz antenna (approximately 9 inches), specifically crafted for usage in tight installations. When installing your receiver into an aircraft where there is less then perfect space far from batteries and other gadgets, a long antenna is key. This allows users to install the receiver in tight areas and separate the antenna for ideal reception and link quality. When positioning your antenna, it is best to have it at least 75mm ( approximately 3 inches) far from batteries, electronic speed controls (ESC), ignition systems, and other electronic gadgets. Utilize the integrated flight log telemetry to perform a through range test to better assess your setup.
 



Forward Programming
You can set up the AR631 receiver wirelessly, directly from any suitable Spektrum™ transmitter, through the Forward Programming menu. No different computer or mobile device is needed for setup and modifications.
 





 



Smart Telemetry
To delight in the complete benefits of Smart™ technology, utilize the AR631 receiver with a Smart ESC and telemetry capable Spektrum DSMX® transmitter. The AR631 includes fly-by telemetry and will supply important telemetry data such as present, voltage, temperature level and RPM is sent directly to your transmitter.
