Introduction
The Spektrum AR631 AS3X Telemetry Receiver is a DSM2 and DSMX capable receiver. Its compact footprint is designed to suit a wide variety of airplane models including park leaflets and bigger sport models. The AR631 is a full range 6-channel receiver with integrated in AS3X and SAFE stabilization, which counters the results of wind, turbulence and torque using 3-axis MEMS gyro and special flight control software tuned by specialist RC pilots. There is no hold-up in control reaction or limitations on control tosses. You'll just seem like you're flying an expertly tuned model that does exactly what you want.

Overview
The AR631 features fly-by range telemetry and a bind button that makes it simple to bind without any plugs needed and offers both SmartSafe innovation and Hold Last as well as pre-programmed failsafe types set through forward shows. A long 230mm 2.4gHz antenna, perfect for getting optimal reception when installed into tight areas. The AR631 likewise features Smart Telemetry support.
With Smart Technology the regular servo port delivers the throttle signal to the ESC, plus the ESC can send out telemetry information like voltage and current back to the receiver. The AR631 receiver throttle port (Channel 1 port only) will automatically find when a Smart suitable ESC is connected. ESCs with Smart and IC series connectors can likewise pass along battery information from suitable Spektrum Smart batteries. Spektrum Bird™ ESCs work with the AR631 receiver for Smart Technology features.
For Smart to operate you need to have a Smart ESC paired with a Smart telemetry receiver, and a Spektrum DSMX transmitter with telemetry. An upgrade for your transmitter might be needed for Smart features. See the Spektrum site to register and upgrade your transmitter. If a standard ESC or servo is plugged into the throttle port on the AR631 receiver, the throttle port will run normally (PWM signal) like any traditional RC system.

SAFE® Technology

Long 230mm 2.4GHz Antenna
The AR631 features an extra-long 230mm 2.4ghz antenna (around 9 inches), specifically crafted for usage in tight installations. When installing your receiver into an aircraft where there is less then ideal space far from batteries and other devices, a long antenna is essential. This allows users to install the receiver in tight areas and isolate the antenna for optimal reception and link quality. When positioning your antenna, it is best to have it a minimum of 75mm ( around 3 inches) far from batteries, electronic speed controls (ESC), ignition systems, and other electronic devices. Use the incorporated flight log telemetry to perform a through range test to better examine your setup.
 



Forward Programming
You can configure the AR631 receiver wirelessly, directly from any suitable Spektrum™ transmitter, through the Forward Shows menu. No separate computer or mobile device is needed for setup and modifications.
 





 



Smart Telemetry
To take pleasure in the full benefits of Smart™ innovation, use the AR631 receiver with a Smart ESC and telemetry capable Spektrum DSMX® transmitter.
