RPM Rear A-arms for the Associated MT8 are developed to improve sturdiness over stock A-arms. How did they do it? Initially, by increasing the quantity of product surrounding the inner hinge pins by 7%, then increasing the width of that thicker diameter by almost 40%! They then increased the quantity of product at the outer hinge pins by 28%! They likewise increased the width there too, by another 9%.

The assistance beams on RPM A-arms likewise got beefier. At their thickest, stock a-arms are roughly 1/2" (12.7mm) thick but taper down on both ends. That amounts to a loss of almost 30% of their thickness at the outer hinge pins. Not with RPM! Their A-arms are a full 1/2" (12.7mm) over almost their whole length! They only taper them slightly at the inner hinge pins (.45" or 11.43mm at their narrowest) to match the maximum size allowable of the inner hinge pin bosses. To make up for that small taper, they use 4 huge assistance beams rather of two, making RPM MT8 A-arms the most difficult alternative to equip available!
