It works best to “inch worm” your servo wire by holding the terminal inside the servo covering, and slowly inching the covering over the terminal, and pressing the terminal forward.

Once your servo wire is covered, cut off a proper sized piece of the suched as heat shrink, and slide it over the covering till it is flush with the servo itself. Heat the shrink wrap with a soldering iron or heat weapon to shrink it down around the covering, therefore providing you a flush, tight fit over the previously frayed servo covering. Do the same with the end of your servo wire, taking care to leave the terminal bare so it can easily plug into your receiver. Also, be sure to keep in mind of the servo wire polarity if you cover the complete wire – this will make sure that you will know exactly what direction to plug your servo terminal into your receiver.
