Learn to Fly Successfully with SAFE® Innovation
If this is your first RC airplane, Horizon Hobby-exclusive SAFE (Sensor Helped Flight Envelope) technology avoids over-control and crashes. It also provides multiple flight modes to provide more control and capabilities as your skills advance at the flip of a switch:

Newbie Mode

In this flight mode, the airplane has pitch (up/down) and bank (left/right) angle restricts that avoid over-control which could cause a loss of orientation and crashes. When the control sticks are released, the airplane automatically goes back to level flight permitting you to unwind and delight in simply 'guiding' the airplane through the sky. Most importantly, launches are as easy as giving complete throttle and letting the airplane fly off a suitable surface area, or by giving it a fast hand launch over surface areas such as yard, and landings are as easy as reducing the throttle and letting it glide to a landing on its own.


 

Intermediate Mode

This flight mode enables more liberty in pitch and bank, however still avoids considerable over-control and the airplane does not return to level flight on its own. This enables you to make tighter turns and to climb and descend quicker as your skills advance.


 

Knowledgeable Mode

In this flight mode there are no pitch or bank angle limitations so you have complete control! You can even fly inverted (upside down) and perform aerobatic maneuvers including loops, rolls, stall turns and more.


 

 

Panic Recovery

If you lose control of the airplane in the Intermediate or Knowledgeable flight modes, simply trigger the Panic Recovery mode with the push of a button and release the control sticks. SAFE technology will automatically return the airplane to level flight.
