It's a scale jet that flies efficiently and handles like a sport aircraft — yet is also capable of incredible aerobatics and top speeds! However what really sets it apart is how simple it is to remove, fly, and land, which makes it the very best choice for a very first massive jet design. Assembly is fast and simple, without any glue required. The light-weight, composite-reinforced EPO airframe is factory-finished in the now iconic Airplane Studio Design trim plan from the popular 70mm design. And the 8 factory-installed digital, metal-geared servos with ball-link equipped linkages, plus control surface areas with pinned hinges, deliver crisp and exact control at every speed. Practical features include flaps, LED landing and navigation lights, and electrical retracts with shock-absorbing, trailing-link struts on the nose and primary gear so you can fly from lawn and other surface areas with ease.

The BNF® Standard version consists of a 12-blade 90mm fan, effective 6S-compatible brushless inrunner motor, and a 130-amp Avian™ Smart ESC that all interact with the skillfully enhanced ducting to deliver an abundance of speed and thrust plus a turbine-like sound. With this power system, the Viper 90mm can level flight tops speeds up to 120+ MPH and provides terrific vertical performance with 6S 4000mAh to 7000mAh batteries. It's also geared up with a factory-installed Spektrum™ AR637TA receiver including special AS3X® and optional-use SAFE® Select innovations. When using suitable transmitters, the receiver and Smart ESC supply battery voltage, present, motor RPM and other telemetry information in real-time — in addition to optional-use motor reversing to reduce rollouts after landing and for other special ground dealing with capabilities. An ARF Plus version is also offered for pilots who choose to install their own choice of ducted fan system, motor and ESC. Either way, for low-time to skilled jet pilots this design provides a large-scale EDF experience unlike any other!





 






Exclusive Technologies
This massive Viper design is geared up with special Spektrum™ AS3X® and SAFE® Select innovations. AS3X works behind the scenes to smooth out the results of wind and turbulence to deliver a locked-in feel that makes it seem like you're flying an even bigger aircraft. Optional-use SAFE Select provides pitch and bank angle limitations in addition to automatic self-leveling that can be turned on and off at the flip of a switch to make this an easier to fly Viper! And if you don't wish to enable the SAFE Select features, just bind the receiver usually and only AS3X will be active.
 









Smart™ Technology
The special Spektrum™ Avian™ Smart ESC offers a range of real-time power system related telemetry information including motor RPM, present draw, total flight battery voltage and more by means of suitable Smart receivers (including the AR637TA set up in the BNF® Standard version) and Spektrum AirWare™ geared up transmitters (including the DX6e, DX8e, DX6 G2/3, DX8 G2, DX9, NX6, 8 and 10, iX12, iX20, and others) while you fly. Plus, optional-use motor reversing can assist reduce rollout after landing and provides other special ground dealing with capabilities (8+ channel transmitter required for SAFE select and motor reversing).
 



High-Performance EDF
