Introduction
The E-flite® Twin Lumber 1.6m uses the very same easy handling and STOL abilities Lumber models are understood for – in addition to additional benefits, efficiency, and special capabilities due to its twin power setup – to make it the most capable, long lasting and steady Lumber yet! The specially-tuned motors work with popular three and 4S 2200–5000mAh batteries and are matched to a special "dual" Spektrum™ Bird™ Smart ESC. The BNF Fundamental version is also equipped with an AR637TA receiver to deliver real-time telemetry information – plus differential thrust and reversing for special aerobatic and other abilities – in addition to AS3X® and SAFE® Select technologies. The airframe is completed in a fresh and contemporary trim scheme that includes practical flaps plus LED landing, navigation, and strobe lights. It also includes optional-use leading edge slats and can be flown from water using the optional drifts (sold individually).

Overview
The E-flite® Twin Lumber 1.6m is not "simply another Lumber with another motor" – it's the most capable, long lasting, steady and special Lumber yet! All the popular functions from other Lumber models exist: shock-absorbing landing equipment with large, tundra-style wheels; optional-use leading edge slats; practical flaps; and an LED lighting system with landing, navigation, and strobe lights. The Twin Lumber 1.6m also includes a big top hatch for faster, much easier battery changes. Plus, it's equipped with the strongest landing equipment set up on a Timber model yet to enhance the sturdiness and STOL ability when flying from rough terrain! The more efficient twin brushless motors are three and 4S-compatible and are matched to a special 40-amp Spektrum™ Bird™ Dual Smart ESC that can offer a variety of real-time power system telemetry information with Smart and non-Smart batteries by means of suitable receivers (including the AR637TA set up in the BNF® Fundamental version) and Spektrum AirWare™ equipped transmitters. The BNF® Fundamental version is equipped with an AR637TA receiver to offer full-range, real-time telemetry information, including battery voltage, ESC temperature, and more — plus differential thrust and motor reversing for unique ground handling and other abilities — in addition to the advantages of AS3X® and optional-use SAFE® Select technologies. The bigger 2-piece wing adds to the stability, and large control surfaces with flaps that can travel both ways provide control and abilities like Lumber X models, including optional-use full-span ailerons. Combined adapters make it much easier to set up and remove the wing, and there's even a custom-made clip in the fuselage that holds the wing joiner so you don't lose it when the wing is separated. Best of all, the wing-mounted motors make it nearly impossible to break props or damage the motor and mounts if you ever nose over! They also offer fantastic clearance when flying with the optional drifts also used for Lumber X 1.2m and Lumber 1.5m models. And everything adds up to make this a terrific very first twin-powered, Brief Remove and Landing (STOL), everyday sport and even aggressive aerobatics capable model for a vast array of pilots!

Exclusive Technologies
The Twin Lumber 1.6m is equipped with unique Spektrum™ AS3X® and SAFE® Select technologies. AS3X works behind the scenes to smooth out the results of wind and turbulence to deliver a locked-in feel that makes it look like you're flying a much bigger airplane. Optional-use SAFE Select uses pitch and bank angle limits and automated self-leveling that can be switched on and off at the flip of a switch! And if you do not|do not} want to make it possible for the SAFE Select functions, bind the receiver generally, and just AS3X will be active.
 






Smart Technology
Both the PNP and BNF Fundamental variations are equipped with a special Spektrum™ Bird™ Dual Smart ESC that can offer a variety of real-time power system-related telemetry information including battery voltage, ESC temperature, and more – with Smart and non-Smart batteries – by means of suitable receivers (including the AR637TA set up in the BNF® Fundamental version) and Spektrum AirWare™ equipped transmitters (including the DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/3 and 8 G2, the DX9, NX6, 8 and 10, iX12, iX14, iX20, and others) while you fly. Plus, reversing and differential thrust deal improved ground handling for much easier taxiing, departures, and landings, in addition to the ability to carry out unique aerobatic maneuvers.
 



Versatile Gear Options
Thick yard, gravel paths, dirt trails— even local lakes and ponds—you can fly off of these and numerous other surfaces that are impossible for the majority of models of this size to deal with. The shock-absorbing landing equipment is the strongest set up on a Timber model yet and is equipped with large, tundra-style wheels/tires to absorb the bumps of rough surfaces. The optional float set (sold individually) includes dual water rudders for exceptional steering control. Whichever equipment choice you pick to fly with, both are easy to set up and can be switched out in minutes.
 






STOL (Short Takeoff and Landing) Capable
The wing style has a larger span and more location than the Lumber X 1.2m and Turbo 1.5m models, plus it includes drooped wingtips and can be equipped with the consisted of optional-use leading edge slats for improved slow flight and STOL efficiency. These functions, in addition to the light-weight style, large flaps, and high-power brushless power system, make it possible to spring into the air or float down to land in as low as a couple of feet or less.

LED Lights

Easy Assembly
No glue is needed for assembly, and because the couple of parts that need to be put together quickly bolt into location, the Twin Lumber can be prepared to fly in less time than it requires to charge the flight battery. The two-piece wing including combined servo adapters makes it much easier to remove/install the wing. Plus, a custom-made clip in the fuselage holds the wing joiner, so you don't lose it when the wing is separated!
