The E-flite® Twin Wood 1.6m provides the same easy handling and STOL abilities Wood designs are known for – together with additional benefits, efficiency, and special capabilities due to its twin power setup – to make it the most capable, durable and steady Wood yet! The specially-tuned motors work with popular three and four 2200–5000mAh batteries and are matched to a special "double" Spektrum™ Avian™ Smart ESC. The BNF Standard variation is likewise equipped with an AR637TA receiver to deliver real-time telemetry information – plus differential thrust and reversing for special aerobatic and other abilities – together with AS3X® and SAFE® Select technologies. The airframe is finished in a fresh and modern trim plan that features functional flaps plus LED landing, navigation, and strobe lights. It likewise includes optional-use leading edge slats and can be flown from water using the optional floats (offered independently).

The E-flite® Twin Wood 1.6m is not "simply another Wood with another motor" – it's the most capable, durable, steady and special Wood yet! All the popular features from other Wood designs are there: shock-absorbing landing equipment with extra-large, tundra-style wheels; optional-use cutting edge slats; functional flaps; and an LED lighting system with landing, navigation, and strobe lights. The Twin Wood 1.6m likewise features a large top hatch for much faster, much easier battery changes. Plus, it's equipped with the greatest landing equipment set up on a Timber design yet to improve the toughness and STOL ability when flying from rough surface! The more effective twin brushless motors are three and 4S-compatible and are matched to a special 40-amp Spektrum™ Avian™ Dual Smart ESC that can offer a variety of real-time power system telemetry information with Smart and non-Smart batteries through compatible receivers (consisting of the AR637TA set up in the BNF® Standard variation) and Spektrum AirWare™ equipped transmitters. The BNF® Standard variation is equipped with an AR637TA receiver to offer full-range, real-time telemetry information, consisting of battery voltage, ESC temperature, and more — plus differential thrust and motor reversing for special ground handling and other abilities — together with the advantages of AS3X® and optional-use SAFE® Select technologies. Exclusive Technologies
The Twin Wood 1.6m is equipped with exclusive Spektrum™ AS3X® and SAFE® Select technologies. AS3X works behind the scenes to smooth out the impacts of wind and turbulence to deliver a locked-in feel that makes it look like you're flying a much bigger airplane. Optional-use SAFE Select provides pitch and bank angle limits and automatic self-leveling that can be turned on and off at the flip of a switch! And if you do not|do not} want to enable the SAFE Select features, bind the receiver usually, and only AS3X will be active.
 






Smart Technology
Both the PNP and BNF Standard variations are equipped with a special Spektrum™ Avian™ Dual Smart ESC that can offer a variety of real-time power system-related telemetry information consisting of battery voltage, ESC temperature, and more – with Smart and non-Smart batteries – through compatible receivers (consisting of the AR637TA set up in the BNF® Standard variation) and Spektrum AirWare™ equipped transmitters (consisting of the DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/3 and 8 G2, the DX9, NX6, 8 and 10, iX12, iX14, iX20, and others) while you fly. STOL (Short Takeoff and Landing) Capable

These features, together with the lightweight style, extra-large flaps, and high-power brushless power system, make it possible to spring into the air or drift down to land in as little as a few feet or less.
 



Flexible Twin Power
The factory-installed twin brushless power system features a 40-amp Spektrum™ Avian™ Dual Smart ESC plus specially-tuned motors that deliver an abundance of thrust with a three LiPo battery or more speed and unrestricted vertical efficiency with a 4S battery without the need for any adjustments or upgrades. Plus, the wing-mounted motors make it nearly impossible to break the counter-rotating props or damage the motors and mounts if you ever nose over!
 






Durable Precision
Composite-reinforced, hollow-core building with EPO material delivers a light-weight yet durable airframe. And the factory-installed metal-geared servos are exact, durable, and trustworthy.
 



LED Lights
Like a lot of other Wood designs, the Twin Wood 1.6m features realistic-looking LED landing, navigation, and strobe lights that are factory-installed and powered by the flight battery.
 







Easy Assembly
No glue is needed for assembly, and since the few parts that need to be assembled easily bolt into place, the Twin Wood can be ready to fly in less time than it requires to charge the flight battery. The two-piece wing featuring combined servo adapters makes it much easier to remove/install the wing. Plus, a custom-made clip in the fuselage holds the wing joiner, so you don't lose it when the wing is separated!
