Introduction
The E-flite® Twin Lumber 1.6m offers the exact same simple handling and STOL abilities Lumber designs are understood for – together with additional benefits, efficiency, and distinct abilities due to its twin power setup – to make it the most capable, long lasting and stable Lumber yet! The specially-tuned motors are compatible with popular three and four 2200–5000mAh batteries and are matched to an exclusive "double" Spektrum™ Bird™ Smart ESC. The BNF Fundamental variation is also equipped with an AR637TA receiver to provide real-time telemetry data – plus differential thrust and reversing for distinct aerobatic and other abilities – together with AS3X® and SAFE® Select innovations. The airframe is completed in a fresh and contemporary trim plan that features practical flaps plus LED landing, navigation, and strobe lights. It also consists of optional-use leading edge slats and can be flown from water utilizing the optional drifts (sold individually).

Overview
The E-flite® Twin Lumber 1.6m is not "simply another Lumber with another motor" – it's the most capable, long lasting, stable and distinct Lumber yet! All the popular functions from other Lumber designs exist: shock-absorbing landing equipment with extra-large, tundra-style wheels; optional-use leading edge slats; practical flaps; and an LED lighting system with landing, navigation, and strobe lights. The Twin Lumber 1.6m also features a big leading hatch for much faster, easier battery modifications. Plus, it's equipped with the strongest landing equipment installed on a Timber model yet to improve the sturdiness and STOL ability when flying from rough surface! The more effective twin brushless motors are three and 4S-compatible and are matched to an exclusive 40-amp Spektrum™ Bird™ Double Smart ESC that can supply a range of real-time power system telemetry data with Smart and non-Smart batteries by means of compatible receivers (including the AR637TA installed in the BNF® Fundamental variation) and Spektrum AirWare™ equipped transmitters. The BNF® Fundamental variation is equipped with an AR637TA receiver to supply full-range, real-time telemetry data, including battery voltage, ESC temperature, and more — plus differential thrust and motor reversing for unique ground handling and other abilities — together with the advantages of AS3X® and optional-use SAFE® Select innovations. The bigger 2-piece wing adds to the stability, and extra-large control surfaces with flaps that can travel both ways use control and abilities like Lumber X designs, including optional-use full-span ailerons. Combined ports make it easier to install and remove the wing, and there's even a custom-made clip in the fuselage that holds the wing joiner so you don't lose it when the wing is separated. Best of all, the wing-mounted motors make it nearly impossible to break props or damage the motor and installs if you ever nose over! They also supply wonderful clearance when flying with the optional drifts also utilized for Lumber X 1.2m and Lumber 1.5m designs. And everything adds up to make this a great first twin-powered, Brief Take Off and Landing (STOL), daily sport and even aggressive aerobatics capable model for a wide variety of pilots!

Exclusive Technologies
The Twin Lumber 1.6m is equipped with special Spektrum™ AS3X® and SAFE® Select innovations. AS3X works behind the scenes to smooth out the results of wind and turbulence to provide a locked-in feel that makes it look like you're flying a much bigger airplane. Optional-use SAFE Select offers pitch and bank angle limitations and automated self-leveling that can be switched on and off at the flip of a switch! And if you do not|do not} wish to allow the SAFE Select functions, bind the receiver generally, and only AS3X will be active.
 






Smart Technology
Both the PNP and BNF Fundamental variations are equipped with an exclusive Spektrum™ Bird™ Double Smart ESC that can supply a range of real-time power system-related telemetry data including battery voltage, ESC temperature, and more – with Smart and non-Smart batteries – by means of compatible receivers (including the AR637TA installed in the BNF® Fundamental variation) and Spektrum AirWare™ equipped transmitters (including the DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/3 and 8 G2, the DX9, NX6, 8 and 10, iX12, iX14, iX20, and others) while you fly. Plus, reversing and differential thrust offer enhanced ground handling for easier taxiing, takeoffs, and landings, together with the ability to carry out unique aerobatic maneuvers.
 



Versatile Gear Options
Thick turf, gravel courses, dirt routes— even local lakes and ponds—you can fly off of these and numerous other surfaces that are impossible for the majority of designs of this size to handle. The shock-absorbing landing equipment is the strongest installed on a Timber model yet and is equipped with extra-large, tundra-style wheels/tires to soak up the bumps of rough surfaces. The optional float set (sold individually) features double water rudders for exceptional steering control. Whichever equipment alternative you pick to fly with, both are simple to install and can be swapped out in minutes.
 






STOL (Short Takeoff and Landing) Capable
The wing design has a larger period and more area than the Lumber X 1.2m and Turbo 1.5m designs, plus it features drooped wingtips and can be equipped with the included optional-use leading edge slats for enhanced sluggish flight and STOL efficiency. These functions, together with the light-weight design, extra-large flaps, and high-power brushless power system, make it possible to spring into the air or float down to land in as low as a few feet or less.
 



Flexible Twin Power
The factory-installed twin brushless power system features a 40-amp Spektrum™ Bird™ Double Smart ESC plus specially-tuned motors that provide an abundance of thrust with a 3S LiPo battery or more speed and unrestricted vertical efficiency with a four battery without the need for any modifications or upgrades. Plus, the wing-mounted motors make it nearly impossible to break the counter-rotating props or damage the motors and installs if you ever nose over!
 






Durable Precision
Composite-reinforced, hollow-core construction with EPO product delivers a light-weight yet long lasting airframe. And the factory-installed metal-geared servos are exact, long lasting, and trustworthy.
 



LED Lights
Like the majority of other Lumber designs, the Twin Lumber 1.6m includes realistic-looking LED landing, navigation, and strobe lights that are factory-installed and powered by the flight battery.
 







Easy Assembly
No glue is required for assembly, and because the couple of parts that need to be put together easily bolt into place, the Twin Lumber can be ready to fly in less time than it requires to charge the flight battery. The two-piece wing featuring combined servo ports makes it easier to remove/install the wing. Plus, a custom-made clip in the fuselage holds the wing joiner, so you don't lose it when the wing is separated!
