Overview
The E-flite® Timber® X 1.2m unleashes a new era of STOL plus 3D aerobatic capability. Based on the extremely popular Timber 1.5m model but including a new wing style, large control surfaces plus a THREE and 4S suitable power system, it uses an even broader flight envelope to deliver a really "moderate to wild" experience. Hollow-core EPO building and construction with composite support leads to a lightweight yet strong airframe that's capable of handling extreme aerobatic maneuvers while keeping the wing packing low for outstanding Brief Takeoff and Landing (STOL) and slow flight efficiency. It's also equipped with high-torque, metal-equipmented servos plus the shock-absorbing landing gear of the initial model so you can fly as strongly as you desire from almost any surface area. You can even set up the included leading edge slats for improved slow flight efficiency, or the optional drifts (EFL5261, sold independently) so you can fly from water. Add in the LED landing, navigation and strobe lights plus much of the other popular functions of the initial, and the Timber X is a design almost every pilot can value and take pleasure in!

eXtreme Maneuverability
The Timber® X 1.2m includes a new wing style with a reduced period plus much bigger ailerons and flaps, along with a bigger elevator and rudder. Double-beveled hinge lines make it possible to deflect every control surface area, including the flaps that can now travel in both instructions, to high angles for outstanding control and severe 3D aerobatic capability. Pockets in the rear of the fuselage and the included optional-use steel stabilizer joiner offer you additional options to tweak the model's efficiency for even wilder 3D setups–or on low rates the controls can be as smooth and docile as they are on the initial so you can fly as moderate or as wild as you'd like!
 



eXtra Power
The factory-installed brushless power system includes a 50-amp ESC plus a specially-tuned motor and prop that deliver an abundance of thrust with a THREE LiPo battery, or additional power and limitless vertical efficiency with a 4S battery without the requirement for any adjustments or upgrades.
 







eXtremely Durable
Composite-reinforced, hollow-core building and construction with EPO product delivers a lightweight yet resilient airframe. The Timber® X 1.2m is also equipped with high-torque, metal-equipmented servos plus the shock-absorbing landing gear and large tundra-style wheels of the initial model so you can fly strongly from almost any surface area.
 



STOL (Short Takeoff and Landing) Capable
The new wing style has a much shorter period yet almost as much wing area as the initial, plus it includes drooped wingtips and can be equipped with the included optional-use leading edge slats for improved slow flight and STOL efficiency. These functions, along with the light-weight style, large flaps and high-power brushless motor, make it possible to spring into the air or float down to land in just two feet or less.
 







LED Lights
Like the initial, the Timber® X 1.2m features realistic-looking LED landing, navigation and strobe lights that are factory-installed and powered from the flight battery.
 



Optional Floats
Owners of an original Timber® 1.5m model can utilize the float set it included on the Timber X 1.2m, or the EDO-style float set is readily available independently (EFL5261) and includes the needed installing struts plus a dual-rudder steering system for exceptional handling and simple departures and landings on water.

Already own a Spektrum™ transmitter? Bind-N-Fly (BNF) aircraft make getting into the air rapidly and with the very best control experience possible easier than ever. They come out of package with the power system, servos and a Spektrum 2.4GHz receiver installed so all you require to do is bind the receiver to a suitable transmitter, complete any final assembly, and fly!

This Bind-N-Fly Basic model is equipped with a Spektrum 2.4GHz DSMX® receiver including AS3X (Synthetic Stabilization–3-aXis) technology that works behind the scenes to smooth out the effects of wind and turbulence. With SAFE Select allowed, you get:

Pitch and Bank Angle Limits
These envelope restricts keep the airplane from rolling or pitching upside down. They also avoid excessive climb or dive angles.

Automatic Self-Leveling
The airplane immediately goes back to and holds level flight when the sticks are launched and in the center position. It's also handy for keeping the wings level throughout takeoffs/launches and landings.

Easy Switch Assignment—No Complex Programming Required
The easy treatment for designating a transmitter switch to turn SAFE Select functions on and off doesn't need any complex programs and takes simply a few seconds.

If you do not wish to make it possible for the SAFE Select functions, simply bind the receiver generally and it will function like a standard AS3X receiver.
