The initial Lumber® captured the adventure of amazing Short Departure and Landing (STOL) abilities in a design including sporty flight efficiency and ultra-friendly dealing with. The E-flite® Lumber X 1.2m integrates the STOL abilities of the initial model with a new wing style including large ailerons and flaps, plus a bigger rudder and elevator and a more effective THREE and 4S compatible power system, to also provide 3D efficiency you'd get out of a full-blown aerobat!

Overview
The E-flite® Lumber® X 1.2m unleashes a new era of STOL plus 3D aerobatic capability. Based upon the extremely popular Lumber 1.5m model but including a new wing style, large control surfaces plus a THREE and 4S compatible power system, it offers an even broader flight envelope to provide a really "mild to wild" experience. Hollow-core EPO construction with composite reinforcement leads to a lightweight yet strong airframe that's capable of handling extreme aerobatic maneuvers while keeping the wing filling low for excellent Short Departure and Landing (STOL) and slow flight efficiency. It's also geared up with high-torque, metal-equipmented servos plus the shock-absorbing landing gear of the initial model so you can fly as aggressively as you want from nearly any surface. You can even install the included leading edge slats for improved slow flight efficiency, or the optional drifts (EFL5261, offered individually) so you can fly from water. Include the LED landing, navigation and strobe lights plus a lot of the other popular features of the initial, and the Lumber X is a design nearly every pilot can appreciate and delight in!

eXtreme Maneuverability
The Lumber® X 1.2m includes a new wing style with a shortened period plus much bigger ailerons and flaps, along with a bigger elevator and rudder. Double-beveled hinge lines make it possible to deflect every control surface, consisting of the flaps that can now take a trip in both instructions, to high angles for impressive control and severe 3D aerobatic capability. Pockets in the back of the fuselage and the included optional-use steel stabilizer joiner provide you additional choices to tweak the model's efficiency for even wilder 3D setups–or on low rates the controls can be as smooth and docile as they are on the initial so you can fly as mild or as wild as you'd like!
 



eXtra Power
The factory-installed brushless power system includes a 50-amp ESC plus a specially-tuned motor and prop that provide an abundance of thrust with a THREE LiPo battery, or eXtra power and unrestricted vertical efficiency with a FOUR battery without the requirement for any adjustments or upgrades.
 







eXtremely Durable
Composite-reinforced, hollow-core construction with EPO material delivers a lightweight yet long lasting airframe. The Lumber® X 1.2m is also geared up with high-torque, metal-equipmented servos plus the shock-absorbing landing gear and large tundra-style wheels of the initial model so you can fly aggressively from nearly any surface.
 



STOL (Short Takeoff and Landing) Capable
The brand-new wing style has a shorter period yet nearly as much wing location as the initial, plus it includes drooped wingtips and can be geared up with the included optional-use leading edge slats for improved slow flight and STOL efficiency. These features, along with the light-weight style, large flaps and high-power brushless motor, make it possible to spring into the air or float down to land in just 2 feet or less.
 







LED Lights
Like the initial, the Lumber® X 1.2m features realistic-looking LED landing, navigation and strobe lights that are factory-installed and powered from the flight battery.
 



Optional Floats
Owners of an original Lumber® 1.5m model can use the float set it included on the Lumber X 1.2m, or the EDO-style float set is offered individually (EFL5261) and consists of the required installing struts plus a dual-rudder steering system for exceptional handling and simple launches and landings on water.
 







Bind-N-Fly Completion Level Advantage
Currently own a Spektrum™ transmitter? Bind-N-Fly (BNF) airplane make getting into the air quickly and with the best control experience possible easier than ever. They come out of the box with the power system, servos and a Spektrum 2.4GHz receiver set up so all you require to do is bind the receiver to a compatible transmitter, finish any final assembly, and fly!

This Bind-N-Fly Basic model is geared up with a Spektrum 2.4GHz DSMX® receiver including AS3X (Synthetic Stabilization–3-aXis) innovation that works behind the scenes to smooth out the impacts of wind and turbulence. The outcome is an increased sense of stability and accuracy that makes you seem like you're flying a much bigger, expertly tuned aircraft.

If this is your first model of its type, or you want an extra margin of safety while familiarizing yourself with the airplane, you can enable the optional-use SAFE® Select flight envelope defense innovation developed into the receiver. No programming is required. Merely change up the binding series as directed in the manual.

With SAFE Select allowed, you get:

Pitch and Bank Angle Limits
These envelope restricts keep the airplane from rolling or pitching upside down. They also avoid extreme climb or dive angles.

Automatic Self-Leveling
The airplane quickly goes back to and holds level flight when the sticks are released and in the center position. It's also helpful for keeping the wings level during takeoffs/launches and landings.

Easy Change Assignment—No Complex Shows Required
The basic procedure for assigning a transmitter switch to turn SAFE Select features on and off does not need any complicated programming and takes simply a few seconds.

If you don't want to enable the SAFE Select features, simply bind the receiver generally and it will work like a basic AS3X receiver.
