Overview
The E-flite® F-16 Thunderbirds 70mm EDF jet is a scale reproduction of the iconic airplane flown by the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds presentation group. Like the major airshow thriller, this F-16 has an extremely large performance envelope—from sluggish and steady high-alpha flight to amazing high-speed and vertical abilities. At its core is a 6S-compatible brushless motor and a 70-amp ESC that are matched to a 12-blade fan to provide an abundance of speed, thrust and a turbine-like noise. Factory-installed electric retracts with shock-absorbing struts make it possible to remove and arrive on a wider range of surfaces–including lawn—while keeping ground handling smooth and delivering a reasonable jet experience. The composite reinforced EPO airframe is light-weight yet strong, and the digital, metal geared servos plus ball-link equipped pushrods provide accurate control. And everything combines to provide among the easiest to fly, yet highest-performance and most capable, F-16 designs ever!





 








Exclusive Technologies
This is the first high-performance F-16 design geared up with exclusive Spektrum™ AS3X® and SAFE® Select technologies. AS3X works behind the scenes to smooth out the results of wind and turbulence to provide a locked-in feel that makes it seem like you're flying a much bigger jet. Optional-use SAFE Select provides pitch and bank angle limits together with automated self-leveling that can be switched on and off at the flip of a switch making this the easiest to fly F-16 design yet! And if you don't {want to|wish to} allow|allow|make it possible for} the SAFE Select {features|functions}, {just|merely} bind the receiver generally|typically|usually|generally} and just AS3X will be active.
 







High-Power EDF
The 12-blade 70mm fan, high-RPM brushless inrunner motor and 70-amp ESC combine with your 6S 3200–4000mAh LiPo battery to provide amazing vertical performance and an incredible speed range with practically rapid throttle reaction. Bind-N-Fly Completion Level Benefit
This Bind-N-Fly® Standard design is geared up with an AS3X® (Synthetic Stabilization–3-aXis) receiver that works behind the scenes to smooth out the results of wind and turbulence. The outcome is a sense of stability and precision that makes you seem like you're flying a bigger and skillfully tuned aircraft.

If this is your first high-performance scale jet, or you desire an additional margin of security while familiarizing yourself with the airplane, you can enable the optional-use SAFE® Select technology constructed into the receiver. No programs is needed. Just change up the binding series as directed in the manual.

With SAFE Select includes enabled, you get:

Pitch and Bank Angle Limits
These envelope limits keep the airplane from rolling or pitching upside down. They also prevent extreme climb or dive angles.

Automatic Self-Leveling
The airplane immediately returns to and holds level flight when the sticks are launched and in the center position. It's also practical for keeping the wings level throughout launches and landings.

Easy Switch Task—No Programming Required
The simple treatment for designating a transmitter switch to turn SAFE Select {functions} on and off doesn't need any programs and takes simply a couple of seconds.

If you don't want to enable the SAFE Select features, just bind the receiver normally and it will function like a standard AS3X receiver.
