The E-flite® Timber® X 1.2m integrated the STOL abilities of the initial Wood 1.5m design with a wing style featuring oversized ailerons and flaps, plus a bigger rudder and elevator and a more effective THREE and 4S suitable power system, to also provide 3D performance you'd expect from an all-out aerobat. Now the Night Wood® X 1.2m adds factory-installed, high-visibility LED lights throughout the airframe for flying all day AND all night! It's also equipped with a 60-amp Spektrum™ Bird™ Smart ESC, and the BNF® Fundamental variation is equipped with an AR637TA receiver that uses full-range telemetry including real-time battery voltage, existing, temperature and more – in addition to motor reversing for special ground handling and other abilities – when utilizing suitable transmitters.

CAPABLE TO THE EXTREME
The E-flite® Wood® X 1.2m released a new period of STOL plus 3D aerobatic capability. Based upon the incredibly popular Wood 1.5m design however featuring a new wing style, oversized control surfaces plus a THREE and 4S suitable power system, it provided an even wider flight envelope to provide a truly "moderate to wild" experience. And in addition to the standard LED landing, navigation and strobe lights, the Night Wood® X 1.2m adds incorporated high-visibility LED lights throughout the airframe that make it possible to fly basically whenever – day OR night! It also includes unique Smart Innovation via the 60-amp Spektrum™ Bird™ Smart ESC, and the BNF® Fundamental variation is equipped with an AR637TA receiver that uses full-range telemetry including real-time battery voltage, existing, temperature and more to suitable transmitters – plus reversing for special ground handling and other abilities! Hollow-core EPO building and construction with composite reinforcement leads to a lightweight yet strong airframe that uses the same flying weight as the initial Wood X – even with the included LED lights. That also makes it efficient in handling severe aerobatic maneuvers while keeping the wing filling low for excellent Brief Launch and Landing (STOL) and sluggish flight performance. It's also equipped with high-torque, metal-equipmented servos plus the shock-absorbing landing gear of the initial design so you can fly as aggressively as you desire from almost any surface area. Embedded throughout the airframe are factory-installed LED lights that make it possible to fly throughout the day AND all night, too! They're conveniently powered by the THREE or 4S 2200–3200mAh flight battery, and can also be quickly detached when flying in daylight conditions. Plus, simply like the initial, the Night Wood® X 1.2m is also equipped with realistic-looking LED landing, navigation and strobe lights.
 









eXtra Exclusive Technologies
The Night Wood® X 1.2m is equipped with unique Spektrum™ AS3X® and SAFE® Select technologies. AS3X works behind the scenes to smooth out the impacts of wind and turbulence to provide a locked-in feel that makes it seem like you're flying a much larger airplane. Optional-use SAFE Select uses pitch and bank angle limits in addition to automated self-leveling that can be turned on and off at the flip of a switch! And if you don't wish to make it possible for the SAFE Select features, simply bind the receiver generally and just AS3X will be active.
 







eXtra Smart Technology
The Night Wood® X 1.2m is equipped with an exclusive Spektrum™ Bird™ Smart ESC that can supply a range of real-time power system related telemetry information including motor RPM, existing, battery voltage and more via suitable receivers (including the AR637TA) and Spektrum AirWare™ equipped transmitters (including the DX6e and 8e, DX6 and 8 G2, the DX9, iX12, iX20 and others) while you fly. It also includes motor reversing to provide special ground handling and other abilities.
 



eXtreme Maneuverability
The Night Wood® X 1.2m includes a wing style with a reduced period plus much larger ailerons and flaps, in addition to a bigger elevator and rudder, compared to the initial Wood 1.5m. Double-beveled hinge lines make it possible to deflect every control surface area, including the flaps that can take a trip in both instructions, to high angles for outstanding control and severe 3D aerobatic capability. Pockets in the rear of the fuselage and the consisted of optional-use steel stabilizer joiner offer you extra alternatives to tweak the design's performance for even wilder 3D setups – or on low rates the controls can be as smooth and docile as they are on the initial so you can fly as moderate or as wild as you'd like!

Already own a Spektrum™ transmitter? Bind-N-Fly (BNF) airplane make entering the air quickly and with the best control experience possible simpler than ever. They come out of the box with the power system, servos and a Spektrum 2.4GHz receiver installed so all you need to do is bind the receiver to a compatible transmitter, complete any last assembly, and fly!

This Bind-N-Fly Basic design is equipped with a Spektrum 2.4GHz DSMX® receiver featuring AS3X (Synthetic Stabilization–3-aXis) technology that works behind the scenes to smooth out the impacts of wind and turbulence. The result is a heightened sense of stability and precision that makes you feel like you're flying a much larger, expertly tuned aircraft.

If this is your first design of its type, or you desire an extra margin of safety while acquainting yourself with the airplane, you can make it possible for the optional-use SAFE® Select flight envelope security technology constructed into the receiver. No programs is needed. Simply alter the binding sequence as directed in the manual.

With SAFE Select allowed, you get:

Pitch and Bank Angle Limits
These envelope restricts keep the airplane from rolling or pitching upside down. They also avoid excessive climb or dive angles.

Automatic Self-Leveling
The airplane instantly goes back to and holds level flight when the sticks are launched and in the center position. It's also helpful for keeping the wings level during takeoffs/launches and landings.

Easy Switch Project—No Complex Programming Required
The simple treatment for designating a transmitter switch to turn SAFE Select features on and off doesn't need any complex programs and takes simply a few seconds.

If you don't wish to make it possible for the SAFE Select features, simply bind the receiver generally and it will work like a basic AS3X receiver.
