The factory-installed brushless power system includes a 70-amp Spektrum™ Bird™ Smart Lite ESC plus a specially-tuned motor and 4-blade prop. This combination delivers an abundance of thrust with a three LiPo battery, or more speed and almost endless vertical efficiency with a 4S battery. The ESC can supply a range of real-time power system associated telemetry information including motor RPM, current, battery voltage and more – with Smart and non-Smart batteries – by means of suitable receivers (including the AR631) and Spektrum AirWare™ geared up transmitters while you fly. The BNF® Basic version is geared up with special Spektrum™ AS3X® and SAFE® Select innovations. AS3X works behind the scenes to ravel the results of wind and turbulence to provide a locked-in feel that makes it look like you're flying a much bigger plane. Optional-use SAFE Select uses pitch and bank angle limitations together with automatic self-leveling that can be turned on and off at the flip of a switch! And if you don't want to enable the SAFE Select features, merely bind the receiver typically and just AS3X will be active.
