By most estimates, preparation and building the full-size DRACO must have taken years. Inspired by the incredible resourcefulness and effort Mike Patey took into building the full-sized airplane, E-flite® provides the only officially-licensed scale replica of the supreme bush plane! The remarkable DRACO 2.0m is among the most highly-engineered, detailed and feature-rich RC designs ever produced. Beyond its intricate design and the precise shape of its fully-molded, lightweight and resilient EPO airframe with a factory-applied finish, it also includes an abundance of Extra Scale information including a variety of surface features, steps, antennas, wingtip "stinger" skids, and a lot more. The clear windscreen and windows provide an excellent view of the detailed cockpit with pilot figure and backlit instrument panel. Practical Extra Scale features consist of accredited, scale-like KING shocks on the main equipment and tail wheel, leading-edge slats, slotted flaps and more. And even with its massive size and feature-packed design, the DRACO 2.0m can be flight-ready in less time than it takes to charge a battery! No tools are required for field assembly/disassembly due to the fact that the two-piece wing is secured with quarter-turn thumbscrews. Best of all, if you've mastered flying at least a couple of previous RC airplane you can fly the DRACO 2.0m successfully, specifically when taking advantage of the BNF® Standard variation's special AS3X® and optional-use SAFE® Select technologies. Mike Patey was born in Gresham, Oregon together with his twin sibling Mark, numbers 5 and 6 in an 11 kid household. Maturing in a low-income household, they were 15 when they released their first company together, Deck-It, building decks for their next-door neighbors in Orem, Utah. Prior to they graduated high school they had constructed it into a business with almost 200 staff members. Their effort and drive led them to produce extra businesses, successfully building and selling each one. Today, both continue applying their enthusiasm for work to their own businesses, Mark with Finest Tugs, and Mike with EcoVap.

Mike is wed to his spouse Chandra and they have four children. Mike's air travel journey began in a 1971 Cessna 172L in 2002 when both Mike and Mark had independently chosen to pursue air travel. In an odd "twin minute", on the exact same day both had attended airshows in various states and been influenced to pursue their pilot's license without the other knowing. When they shared their decision by phone, they were so blown away at the coincidence of the entire thing that Mark right away purchased a used 172, and the rest is history.
