Overview
Fast, rugged and factory-built, the TWO LiPo-compatible ARRMA® SENTON™ 4X4 MEGA RTR comes ready to slam on any terrain. This version of the Brief Course truck features brand-new equipment that enhances on the original’s already remarkable efficiency and durability.
The SENTON™ 4X4 MEGA RTR Brief Course truck is DESIGNED QUICKLY, DESIGNED HARD — constructed for amazing bashing speeds and severe, all-terrain durability. New features to improve its unstoppable efficiency include a more powerful chassis and retained hinge pin plates; guiding with more clearance for stones; a castellated slipper pad and moving equipment mesh; and rubber protected bearings throughout.
The Short Course truck now likewise includes the Spektrum™ SLT3™ transmitter and SLR300 receiver. The transmitter is ergonomically created for long periods of fatigue-free driving and has a foam wheel for exact fingertip control plus a better hand grip and trigger feel. New bashers will have the ability to set throttle limitations at 50% or 75% until they are ready to use the full speed potential. The SLT3™ is compatible with Technique® SLT™ receivers to run other RTR vehicles you may own, and includes a 3rd channel to control optional functions such as lights and winches on models that have them.
It maintains the innovative modular design perfected by ARRMA® engineers for easy element gain access to and maintenance. The power module, with enhanced dirt management, consists of a MEGA 550 motor, motor plate, slipper clutch assembly and equipment cover. The power module can be separated from the chassis as a complete unit by removing simply one screw. With the power module eliminated, the slipper clutch can be reached easily for adjustments by getting 3 screws that attach the equipment cover. The equipment ratio can be carefully tuned as the power module now uses a sliding motor mesh design.
A two-piece molding screwed to the truck’s chassis serves as its electronics module, consisting of a waterproof receiver box, servo mount and ESC tray. The SLR300 receiver mounts inside the receiver box for protection from dirt and wetness. The ultra-compact ESC is screwed to the top of the module, enabling quick access to the on/off switch, while the servo mounts to the side. All 3 parts can be eliminated together, rapidly and easily.
The differential module houses each differential unit in an innovative yoke design. Just 8 screws need to be eliminated to release the front and rear yokes. Their innovative rod-end has a molded-in spring perch for additional toughness. High chassis guards restrict the quantity of dirt and debris that can enter the chassis tub. Side impact nerf bars further protect the chassis and body shell. Shock-absorbing loops keep the front and rear bumpers secured to the chassis, providing defense versus heavy impacts.
Tough, multi-spoke black SC wheels with vented dBoots® Fortress™ SC tires provide the SENTON™ 4X4 MEGA RTR efficient traction for bashing on practically any terrain. Several battery types can be utilized with the hook-and-loop mounting, from 6-cell NiMH packs to a 2S block pack. This version comes with a Dynamite® 3300 mAh 8.4V 7-cell Speedpack® 2 Hump NiMH battery that provides 35% more run time compared to the 2400mAh pack of its predecessor.
