Overview
Quick, rugged and factory-built, the 2S LiPo-compatible ARRMA® GRANITE™ 4X4 MEGA RTR comes all set to slam in any surface. This version features brand-new equipment that even more increases the original beast truck’s already remarkable performance and durability.

The GRANITE™ 4X4 MEGA RTR Beast Truck is DEVELOPED QUICK, DEVELOPED DIFFICULT — constructed for amazing bashing speeds and extreme, all-terrain toughness. New features to enhance its unstoppable performance consist of a stronger chassis and kept hinge pin plates; steering with more clearance for stones; a castellated slipper pad and moving gear mesh; and rubber shielded bearings throughout.

The beast truck now also consists of the Spektrum™ SLT3™ transmitter and SLR300 receiver. The transmitter is ergonomically created for long periods of fatigue-free bashing and has a foam wheel for exact fingertip control plus a better hand grip and trigger feel. New bashers will have the ability to set throttle limitations at 50% or 75% till they are all set to utilize the full speed capacity. The SLT3™ is compatible with Tactic® SLT™ receivers to run other RTR vehicles you may own, and consists of a 3rd channel to control optional functions such as lights and winches on models that have them.

It retains the innovative modular style perfected by ARRMA® engineers for simple component gain access to and upkeep. The power module, with enhanced dirt management, includes a MEGA 550 motor, motor plate, slipper clutch assembly and gear cover. The power module can be removed from the chassis as a complete system by removing just one screw. With the power module removed, the slipper clutch can be reached easily for changes by getting 3 screws that attach the gear cover. The gear ratio can be carefully tuned as the power module now uses a moving motor mesh design.

A two-piece molding screwed to the truck’s chassis works as its electronics module, containing a waterproof receiver box, servo mount and ESC tray. The SLR300 receiver mounts inside the receiver box for security from dirt and moisture. The ultra-compact ESC is screwed to the top of the module, enabling quick access to the on/off switch, while the servo mounts to the side. All 3 parts can be eliminated together, quickly and easily.

The differential module homes each differential system in an innovative yoke style. Just 8 screws need to be eliminated to release the front and rear yokes. The power module can then be removed, enabling you to pivot the gearbox cases for differential gain access to. The GRANITE™ 4X4 MEGA RTR comes brushless-ready with 37T 1.35mod diffs with silicone O-rings. The big equipments can hold up against huge torque, and internal metal equipments have been selected for reliability during extreme bashing.

Its full-time 4WD transmission uses strong front, rear, and centerline telescopic driveshafts that can’t be lost during heavy impacts, unlike dogbones. The self-bleeding, oil-filled shocks, now with silicone O-rings, utilize an attempted and tested, coil-over style for basic upkeep and remarkable handling. Their ingenious rod-end has a molded-in spring perch for extra durability. High chassis guards restrict the quantity of dirt and particles that can enter the chassis tub. Shock-absorbing loops keep the front and rear bumpers protected to the chassis, using defense versus heavy impacts.

Tough, multi-spoke black MT wheels with dBoots® Fortress™ MT tires offer the GRANITE™ 4X4 MEGA RTR reliable traction for bashing on nearly any surface. Multiple battery types can be utilized with the hook-and-loop installing, from 6-cell NiMH packs to a TWO block pack. This version features a Dynamite® 3300 mAh 8.4V 7-cell Speedpack® 2 Bulge NiMH battery that offers 35% more run time compared to the 2400mAh pack of its predecessor.
