A great step-up from brushed bashing, the 1/10 scale ARRMA® BIG ROCK™ TEAM TAXI 4X4 THREE BLX ready-to-run beast truck delivers an exhilarating combination of ARRMA® durability, street truck style and 50+ mph speed ability. Developed on the effective 4X4 BLX platform, its precision aluminum, tough steel and composite products come together for an easy-to-maintain, super-durable car style that’s now been upgraded to further boost the beast truck’s impressive performance and durability.
The BIG ROCK™ 4X4 THREE BLX is DEVELOPED FAST, DEVELOPED DIFFICULT — built for interesting bashing speeds and severe, all-terrain durability. New includes that improve its unstoppable performance include a stronger chassis and maintained hinge pin plates; steering with more clearance for stones; a castellated slipper pad and sliding gear mesh; longer suspension arms for a 1.10 inch boost in width; and rubber-shielded bearings throughout.
It likewise now includes a Spektrum™ SLT3™ transmitter and SLR300 receiver. The transmitter is ergonomically developed for extended periods of fatigue-free bashing and has a foam wheel for accurate fingertip control, plus a better hand grip and trigger feel. New bashers will be able to set throttle limitations at 50% or 75% until they are all set to utilize the complete speed capacity. The SLT3™ is compatible with Tactic® SLT™ receivers to run other RTR vehicles you may own, and includes a third channel to manage optional features such as lights and winches on designs that have them.
ARRMA® now powers the BIG ROCK™ 4X4 THREE BLX with a brushless system including its BLX100 ESC and the Spektrum™ Firma™ 3200Kv brushless motor. The combination provides amazing torque, acceleration and speed. The transmission and chassis are ruggedly engineered to take full advantage of the electronics’ power.
It has the ingenious modular style refined by ARRMA® engineers for easy component gain access to and maintenance. The power module, with improved dirt management, includes the motor with ARRMA® heatsink and cooling fan, plus motor plate, slipper clutch assembly and gear cover. The power module can be removed from the chassis as a total system by removing just one screw. With the power module eliminated, the slipper clutch can be reached easily for adjustments by securing 3 screws that attach the gear cover. The gear ratio can be finely tuned as the power module now utilizes a sliding motor mesh design.
A two-piece molding screwed to the truck’s chassis functions as its electronics module, including a waterproof receiver box, servo install and ESC tray. The SLR300 receiver mounts inside the receiver box for security from dirt and moisture. The ultra-compact ESC is screwed to the top of the module, enabling fast access to the on/off switch, while the servo mounts to the side. All 3 components can be eliminated together, rapidly and easily.
The differential module homes each differential system in an ingenious yoke style. Only eight screws need to be eliminated to release the front and rear yokes. The power module can then be removed, enabling you to pivot the transmission cases for differential gain access to. The BIG ROCK™ 4X4 THREE BLX RTR comes brushless-ready with 37T 1.35mod diffs with silicone O-rings.
