If the aircraft must land or crash in an unanticipated area and end up being lost, the pilot can allow the Aircraft Locator Choice. The Aircraft Locator Choice is engaged by shutting off the transmitter. When the ESC does not receive a signal from the transmitter for 30 seconds, it will begin to send out an alarm to the motor. The sound of the alarm will assist the pilot to locate the aircraft. This alternative will not work with a PCM receiver that has SAVE function made it possible for, or with low noise resistant PM receivers.
