Traxxas Stability Management
Micro Receiver, TQi 2.4GHz with Traxxas Link and TSM (5-channel) (#6533) (three-quarter view)Traxxas Stability Management (TSM) makes it possible to experience all the severe power, speed, and velocity that was crafted into Traxxas designs by making it much easier to control the car on typical slippery surface areas such as loose dirt, smooth concrete, and even ice and snow. Punch it off the line and TSM goes to work picking up the car's direction and making steering corrections to supply straight-ahead complete throttle velocity without fishtailing, spinouts, and loss of control. TSM also works during cornering, very first making instinctive corrections to keep the car's line, then hammer the throttle previously in the turn for much faster exit speeds. Braking is drastically enhanced as TSM works to keep Traxxas trucks arrow directly till they pertain to a total stop. Traxxas TSM provides all the advantages modern-day electronic stabilization needs to offer without invading driving enjoyable or introducing unexpected adverse effects that can be found on other systems such as dramatically lowered turning radius, braking assistance that times out (gives up), throttle limitations, and an overall detached driving feel. Traxxas engineers developed exceptional tuning algorithms that operate on high-speed, accuracy electronic components to produce a system that works undetectably, in the background, without ever restricting throttle. TSM can be fine-tuned (or shut off) for different surface areas by simply adjusting the multi-function knob on the TQi transmitter, or by adjusting the slider in the Traxxas Link app. The outcome is driving much faster, with more ease, and having more enjoyable. In fact, the driver might not even recognize how much TSM is helping till it is shut off and their driving skills are checked without it!

TSM BENEFITS
TSM makes Traxxas lorries much easier to drive, especially on loose surface areas
TSM makes driving more enjoyable by enabling the driver to accelerate harder and drive much faster with much greater control
TSM works to support lorries over rough surface areas as the gyro result of the spinning front tires continues to "guide" when the car is in the air
TSM drastically improves braking performance by avoiding spinouts
TSM permits faster cornering speeds
TSM never restricts throttle (or enjoyable!)
TSM permits the driver to accelerate harder when leaving a turn
TSM works undetectably in the background
The driver keeps their connected feel with the car
The quantity of TSM assistance is totally adjustable
TSM can be shut off or changed from the TQi Transmitter
TSM is totally compatible with Traxxas Link
TSM does not need any complex set up or instructions.

Broke 5 minutes into 1st battery
By Jordan T on January 5, 2019   Verified Purchase

I grew up with many RC cars. Traxxas, Kyosho, Losi, Team Associated, I had them all. My last car was a nitro rustler when I was 16. I ran that car for several years with very little problems. rnFast forward to today. I’m 33, I fly drones but miss my old rc cars so I bought a new Traxxas Ruster VXl 3s. I went home, read the manual, charged the battery, put it in trainer mode and took it out to an empty parking lot. After 3 minutes I put it in regular mode and 2 minutes later the transmission melted down and locked solid. Ended up needing a whole new transmission after 5 minutes of mellow runtime. At that point I looked at axle shafts, steering linkages, and suspension components, many of which were already showing significant wear. I remembered back to the old days with my nitro rustler and how I abused it as a teenager and never had issues like this. I was pretty bummed that this $400 setup was already falling apart on me after not even half a battery of runtime. I get that RC stuff breaks and I’m fine with that but this has been a disappointment compared to the years of fun I got out of the nitro version. I would like to thank Vortex Hobbies though for taking care of me and trying to make it right. Traxxas has just cheapened these cars as much as they can.
