Tamiya Rc Monster Beetle Trail 4X4 Kit, W/ Gf-01Tr Chassis

The timeless Tamiya Beast Beetle is an iconic R/C kit. This version takes the timeless body, shrinks it to a smaller sized scale, and mounts it on an alternative GF-01 chassis called the GF-01TR!

The GF-01TR fits the gear-driven GF-01 chassis with decrease gears (also called portal axles). This adjustment enables enthusiasts to better transverse rough trail surface as it increases the clearance of the bottom of the chassis to clear barriers that could otherwise high center the automobile and render it stuck.

GF-01TR Chassis:

This gear-driven 4WD chassis is based around a lightweight and hard monocoque frame, with power provided by the centrally-positioned motor. Reduction gears on each axle sluggish drive shaft rotation for tremendous torque, great ground clearance, and the capability to take on hard off-road surface. The transmission is sealed to safeguard it from dust and particles, and incorporated into the frame. Integrated differential gears provide excellent traction and durability with the use of consisted of diff putty. 4-wheel double wishbone suspension uses friction dampers, while a 2-piece tie rod steering setup with the servo on the left offers outstanding cornering action. Yellow wheels are fitted with 115mm size hybrid pin spike/lug pattern tires for superior cushioning and grip. The chassis uses a 'square' setup with similar tread and wheelbase lengths.

Requires: 2-Channel Radio, servo, 7.2-7.4 volt round shape battery pack, suitable charger, and Tamiya TS paints.
