Tamiya Rc Monster Beetle Trail 4X4 Kit, W/ Gf-01Tr Chassis

The classic Tamiya Monster Beetle is a renowned R/C set. This variation takes the classic body, shrinks it to a smaller scale, and installs it on a variant GF-01 chassis called the GF-01TR!

The GF-01TR fits the gear-driven GF-01 chassis with decrease gears (likewise called portal axles). This modification enables enthusiasts to better transverse rough trail surface as it increases the clearance of the bottom of the chassis to clear challenges that could otherwise high center the car and render it stuck.

GF-01TR Chassis:

This gear-driven 4WD chassis is based around a lightweight and difficult monocoque frame, with power supplied by the centrally-positioned motor. Reduction gears on each axle sluggish drive shaft rotation for immense torque, terrific ground clearance, and the capability to handle difficult off-road surface. The transmission is sealed to secure it from dust and debris, and incorporated into the frame. Built-in differential gears supply excellent traction and sturdiness with the use of included diff putty. 4-wheel double wishbone suspension makes use of friction dampers, while a 2-piece tie rod guiding setup with the servo on the left gives exceptional cornering reaction. Yellow wheels are fitted with 115mm size hybrid pin spike/lug pattern tires for remarkable cushioning and grip. The chassis makes use of a 'square' setup with comparable tread and wheelbase lengths.
