Volvo FH16 Tow Truck
Volvo is a renowned actor in the global commercial vehicle market, with one of their flagship brands being the FH Series that underwent a full model change in 2012. This R/C model assembly kit recreates the 750hp engine FH16 Globetrotter 750 8x4 tow truck from that range. The model has a realistic cab and body, the former featuring a photo-etched front grille and interior details, the latter opening doors. The trucks fascinating towing mechanism uses metal parts and winch boom, under lift and outriggers are movable manually. The front mounted TR Mighty Tuned motor (35T) provides ample power to the two rear axles, via a three-speed transmission. Gear changes are also possible via transmitter controls, and the model can tow subjects such as 1/14 scale R/C tractor trucks.
Optional Extras for Ultra Realism
The Electric Actuator Set for 1/14 Scale R/C Tow Truck set allows raising of the winch boom and under lift via R/C controls. It uses a precision geared motor and spindle cylinder, plus the ACU-02 unit, and features a toggle switch for manual control. Tamiya Multi-Function Control Units (sold separately) offer light, sound, and vibration operation to go with your R/C truck experience. Engine sounds have been digitally recorded from actual trucks, and together with air horn, gear shifting, and various other realistic sounds, give you the feeling that you are driving the real thing! Headlights, brake lights, fog lamp, hazard lights and turn signal operations are also at your fingertips.
