The Spektrum™ S155 charger makes innovative, easy to use Smart charging technology budget-friendly for any RC hobbyist. It's a particularly great option for cost-conscious brand-new motorists and pilots who desire the safe and basic operation that only a Smart charger can provide.Compatible with 4S LiPo, LiFe, Li-Ion, or LiHV batteries as well as 1-12S NiMH and NiCd packs, the 55-watt S155 charger can be used with all popular RC battery types (though only Smart batteries make the most of the charger's innovative features). It includes ports for IC3® and IC5® adapters, so no separate adapters are needed to charge most Smart batteries. Generation 2 Smart technology allows the S155 to both charge and balance Smart G2 batteries using one basic connection. No separate balance lead is needed. When linked to a Smart battery, its Vehicle Charge feature recognizes the right charging parameters quickly and starts safe, correct charging — automatically.

Spektrum Smart G2 Battery

Smart G2 batteries come from the factory programmed to release immediately to a safe storage voltage of 3.90V after 72 hours of inactivity. Through the charger you can see and set preferences such as charge rates, so all that's required to charge the pack is connecting it to your Smart charger. Smart technology takes care of the rest.
