Introduction
The Spektrum AR631 AS3X Telemetry Receiver is a DSM2 and DSMX capable receiver. Its compact footprint is created to fit in a vast array of aircraft designs consisting of park flyers and bigger sport designs. The AR631 is a full variety 6-channel receiver with integrated in AS3X and SAFE stabilization, which counters the effects of wind, turbulence and torque utilizing 3-axis MEMS gyro and unique flight control software application tuned by specialist RC pilots. There is no hold-up in control action or limitations on control throws. You'll merely feel like you're flying a skillfully tuned model that does exactly what you want.

Overview
The AR631 includes fly-by variety telemetry and a bind button that makes it easy to bind without any plugs necessary and provides both SmartSafe technology and Hold Last in addition to pre-programmed failsafe types set through forward programming. A long 230mm 2.4gHz antenna, ideal for getting optimal reception when set up into tight spaces. The AR631 also includes Smart Telemetry support.
With Smart Innovation the typical servo connector provides the throttle signal to the ESC, plus the ESC can send out telemetry information like voltage and current back to the receiver. The AR631 receiver throttle port (Channel 1 port only) will automatically identify when a Smart suitable ESC is linked. ESCs with Smart and IC series connectors can also pass along battery information from suitable Spektrum Smart batteries. Spektrum Avian™ ESCs are compatible with the AR631 receiver for Smart Innovation features.
For Smart to operate you need to have a Smart ESC paired with a Smart telemetry receiver, and a Spektrum DSMX transmitter with telemetry. An upgrade for your transmitter may be required for Smart functions. See the Spektrum site to sign up and upgrade your transmitter. If a standard ESC or servo is plugged into the throttle port on the AR631 receiver, the throttle port will run typically (PWM signal) like any standard RC system.

SAFE® Technology
SAFE® (Sensing unit Assisted Flight Envelope) technology flight modes help pilots avoid over-controlling their designs. SAFE uses AS3X to provide typical flight efficiency, but with limited bank and pitch angles to prevent the aircraft from getting in extreme mindsets.
 







Long 230mm 2.4GHz Antenna
The AR631 includes an extra-long 230mm 2.4ghz antenna (roughly 9 inches), particularly crafted for usage in tight setups. When installing your receiver into an airplane where there is less then perfect area far from batteries and other gadgets, a long antenna is key. This permits users to set up the receiver in tight spaces and isolate the antenna for optimal reception and link quality. When placing your antenna, it is best to have it at least 75mm ( roughly 3 inches) far from batteries, electronic speed controls (ESC), ignition systems, and other electronic gadgets. Utilize the integrated flight log telemetry to perform a through variety test to much better evaluate your setup.
 



Forward Programming
You can configure the AR631 receiver wirelessly, straight from any suitable Spektrum™ transmitter, through the Forward Shows menu. No separate computer system or mobile phone is needed for setup and adjustments.
 





 



Smart Telemetry
To take pleasure in the complete advantages of Smart™ technology, use the AR631 receiver with a Smart ESC and telemetry capable Spektrum DSMX® transmitter. The AR631 includes fly-by telemetry and will supply important telemetry information such as current, voltage, temperature and RPM is sent straight to your transmitter.
