The Spektrum AR631 AS3X Telemetry Receiver is a DSM2 and DSMX capable receiver. Its compact footprint is developed to fit in a vast array of airplane designs including park leaflets and bigger sport designs. Overview
The AR631 includes fly-by range telemetry and a bind button that makes it easy to bind without any plugs required and uses both SmartSafe innovation and Hold Last along with predetermined failsafe types set through forward programming. A long 230mm 2.4gHz antenna, perfect for getting ideal reception when set up into tight spaces. The AR631 likewise includes Smart Telemetry support.
With Smart Technology the typical servo adapter delivers the throttle signal to the ESC, plus the ESC can send telemetry data like voltage and current back to the receiver. The AR631 receiver throttle port (Channel 1 port only) will immediately find when a Smart suitable ESC is connected. ESCs with Smart and IC series ports can likewise pass along battery data from suitable Spektrum Smart batteries. Spektrum Bird™ ESCs are compatible with the AR631 receiver for Smart Technology features.
For Smart to function you need to have a Smart ESC coupled with a Smart telemetry receiver, and a Spektrum DSMX transmitter with telemetry. An upgrade for your transmitter might be required for Smart features. See the Spektrum site to register and update your transmitter. If a basic ESC or servo is plugged into the throttle port on the AR631 receiver, the throttle port will operate normally (PWM signal) like any standard RC system.

Long 230mm 2.4GHz Antenna
The AR631 includes an extra-long 230mm 2.4ghz antenna (roughly 9 inches), specifically engineered for usage in tight installations. When installing your receiver into an airplane where there is less then perfect space far from batteries and other devices, a long antenna is crucial. This enables users to install the receiver in tight spaces and isolate the antenna for ideal reception and link quality. When placing your antenna, it is best to have it a minimum of 75mm ( roughly 3 inches) far from batteries, electronic speed controls (ESC), ignition systems, and other electronic devices. Use the integrated flight log telemetry to perform a through range test to better assess your setup.
 



Forward Programming

Smart Telemetry

The AR631 includes fly-by telemetry and will offer vital telemetry data such as current, voltage, temperature level and RPM is sent directly to your transmitter.
