Introduction
The Spektrum AR631 AS3X Telemetry Receiver is a DSM2 and DSMX capable receiver. Its compact footprint is created to suit a wide range of aircraft designs consisting of park flyers and larger sport designs. The AR631 is a full variety 6-channel receiver with built in AS3X and SAFE stabilization, which counters the results of wind, turbulence and torque using 3-axis MEMS gyro and exclusive flight control software tuned by professional RC pilots. There is no hold-up in control action or limitations on control tosses. You'll just feel like you're flying an expertly tuned model that does precisely what you want.

Overview
The AR631 features fly-by variety telemetry and a bind button that makes it easy to bind with no plugs essential and offers both SmartSafe technology and Hold Last as well as preset failsafe types set through forward programming. A long 230mm 2.4gHz antenna, best for getting ideal reception when installed into tight spaces. The AR631 also features Smart Telemetry support.
With Smart Technology the typical servo adapter delivers the throttle signal to the ESC, plus the ESC can send telemetry data like voltage and current back to the receiver. The AR631 receiver throttle port (Channel 1 port just) will instantly spot when a Smart suitable ESC is linked. ESCs with Smart and IC series adapters can also pass along battery data from suitable Spektrum Smart batteries. Spektrum Bird™ ESCs are compatible with the AR631 receiver for Smart Technology features.
For Smart to function you should have a Smart ESC paired with a Smart telemetry receiver, and a Spektrum DSMX transmitter with telemetry. An update for your transmitter might be needed for Smart features. See the Spektrum website to sign up and upgrade your transmitter. If a standard ESC or servo is plugged into the throttle port on the AR631 receiver, the throttle port will run typically (PWM signal) like any traditional RC system.

SAFE® Technology
SAFE® (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology flight modes assist pilots avoid over-controlling their designs. SAFE uses AS3X to deliver typical flight efficiency, but with restricted bank and pitch angles to prevent the aircraft from getting in extreme attitudes.
 







Long 230mm 2.4GHz Antenna
The AR631 features an extra-long 230mm 2.4ghz antenna (roughly 9 inches), particularly engineered for use in tight installations. When installing your receiver into an aircraft where there is less then ideal space far from batteries and other devices, a long antenna is essential. This permits users to install the receiver in tight spaces and isolate the antenna for ideal reception and link quality. When positioning your antenna, it is best to have it a minimum of 75mm ( roughly 3 inches) far from batteries, electronic speed controls (ESC), ignition systems, and other electronic devices. Use the incorporated flight log telemetry to perform a through variety test to much better assess your setup.
 



Forward Programming
You can configure the AR631 receiver wirelessly, straight from any suitable Spektrum™ transmitter, through the Forward Shows menu. No different computer or mobile phone is required for setup and changes.
 





 



Smart Telemetry
To delight in the full benefits of Smart™ technology, utilize the AR631 receiver with a Smart ESC and telemetry capable Spektrum DSMX® transmitter. The AR631 features fly-by telemetry and will provide vital telemetry data such as current, voltage, temperature level and RPM is sent straight to your transmitter.
