Clarence Taylor, a self-taught aeronautical engineer from Nottingham, England, is thought about one of the dads of private aviation in America. He created the original Taylor Cub in 1931 at Bradford, Pennsylvania, and together with his bro Gordon, formed Taylor Brothers Aircraft Corporation in Rochester, New York in 1926 with the motto: "Purchase Your Airplane Taylor Made". With a goal to develop a personal aircraft remarkable to his original Cub, Taylor formed his own business in 1935 as Taylor-Young Airplane Company.

The Rage RC Taylorcraft is an ultra-micro sized design of Clarence Taylor's traditional 1936 design, with a highly visible realistic trim plan and details like pre-decorated wheel trousers, and a convenient magnetic hatch on the battery compartment which offers convenient gain access to and improves scale appearance.
