The Spirit of St. Louis, zipped Charles Lindbergh, made the very first solo non-stop transatlantic flight from Long Island, New York, to Paris, France leaving on Might 20th and getting here on Might 21st, 1927. It was named Spirit of St. Louis in honor of Lindbergh's fans from his home town of St. Louis, Missouri.
