Even when in Specialist Mode, if you get into problem, all you require to do is move the PASS switch on the transmitter to Complete or Partial Assist for the system to take over and you're back in level, stable flight. Another alternative included with the Zero is the removable snap-in-place landing equipment that can be used for take-offs from smooth surface areas. When hand-launching is a better alternative for conditions, utilizing Partial Assist makes it a breeze whether the equipment is installed, or not.
