The ProTek R/C LiFe Vehicle Transmitter Battery Pack is planned for usage with the Futaba 4PK, 4PV and 4PX Transmitters. Lithium battery technology is progressing. With cell dimensions that fit anywhere a basic Li-Po battery will and quickly increasing capacity, LiFe chemistry will soon set the standard that others are evaluated by. With the capability to deliver 1000+ functional cycles, and a life span as much as 4 times longer than Li-Poly batteries (when cycled under the exact same discharge conditions), these batteries use the user an outstanding balance of efficiency and value. LiFe batteries are more resilient than Li-Poly and are able to deal with a higher level of abuse when compared with Li-Poly without the risk of pre-mature failure. Unlike Li-Poly, LiFe cells can be kept in a totally charged state with little to no loss in kept power, and can be released deeper with less risk of damage to the cells. Most significantly, LiFe batteries are SAFE! There is no risk of combustion! LiFe cells will not catch fire or take off when over charged, or after a deep discharge.
