Kimbrough Products Kimbrough 48P Slipper Gear (75T)

Kimbrough spur gears are formed with black 4/6 Nylon plastic,
since black dissipates heat into the air much better then other color -
and high temperatures are not good for thermo-setting plastics. This
plastic is almost 3 times harder and will withstand running
temperatures 75? to 125? greater than plastics used by other R/C car equipment
makers.
Kimbrough spur gears are complete width, since a narrow or profiled
plastic equipment can warp under load, is weaker and less efficient. This
can cause drag in the equipment train and waste horse power. The larger a gear
is, the more load it can handle. The only time equipment engineers narrow
gears, is when there is a space limitation. Kimbrough Racing Products
gears run peaceful since they have the proper tooth shape and don't have
to be narrowed. NOTE: Using complete width pinion gears is extremely advised.
