It can be powered straight by a 2s to four LiPo battery by means of JST connection and does not need a BEC! You must use a radio with endpoint modification for appropriate installation.  The battery must be detached from the ESC AND servo when not in use to prevent damage to the servo and/or battery. Do not power the servo straight from a battery balance port. Doing so can harm the servo and will void the guarantee. Moly (marine) grease is recommended when oiling the gears. Dielectric grease is recommended on the power board and potentiometer if looking to increase water resistance.
