Overview

Based on the North American Aviation airplane that served as a military fitness instructor for nearly Thirty Years, the HobbyZone® T-28 Trojan S makes it easy to discover how to fly RC effectively in more places than ever before. Its ultra-micro size, light-weight, and resilient airframe enable it to be flown in little parks, big lawns and even inside over a basketball court. With SAFE® (Sensor Helped Flight Envelope) technology, you can teach yourself to fly in numerous modes, from Novice to Experienced, and immediately return to stable flight utilizing the Panic Healing trigger in any flight mode. Best of all, it takes almost no time and effort to get flying which enables knowledgeable pilots more chances to get behind the sticks. The T-28 Trojan S shows up entirely factory-assembled and prepared to fly right from package – no setup needed! This Bind-N-Fly® Basic version enables you to use your own Spektrum™ DX4e or better transmitter, and requires a 150mAh ONE 3.7V LiPo battery and battery charger (offered separately).
Horizon Hobby-exclusive SAFE technology avoids over-control and crashing while also providing numerous modes that provide more control as your abilities progress:

Novice Mode
Pitch and bank angle limits avoid over-control that can result in a loss of orientation and crashes. When the control sticks are launched the airplane go back to level flight on its own. Best of all departures are as simple as offering full throttle and letting the airplane fly off a smooth surface area or by offering it a fast hand launch, and landings are as easy as lowering the throttle and letting it glide to a landing on its own.

Intermediate Mode
More flexibility in pitch and bank, however still avoids over-control and does not return to level flight on its own. This mode enables you to make tighter turns in smaller locations and to climb up and come down much faster as your abilities advance.

Experienced Mode
No pitch or bank angle limits so you have total control! You can even fly inverted/upside down and carry out aerobatic maneuvers consisting of loops, rolls, stall turns and more. And if you ever lose orientation or control you can activate the self-leveling Panic Healing Mode by releasing the control sticks and pressing the trigger on the transmitter.
