This Ready-To-Fly (RTF) variation includes a controller/transmitter geared up with Spektrum™ DSMX® 2.4GHz innovation and whatever else you require to fly including AA batteries for the transmitter, a rechargeable lithium polymer battery for the airplane and a USB charger. That means there's absolutely nothing additional to purchase or provide so you can fly! Discover to Fly Successfully with SAFE® Innovation
If this is your very first RC airplane, Horizon Hobby-exclusive SAFE (Sensor Helped Flight Envelope) innovation avoids over-control and crashes. It also provides several flight modes to deliver more control and capabilities as your skills progress at the flip of a switch:

Newbie Mode

In this flight mode, the airplane has pitch (up/down) and bank (left/right) angle restricts that avoid over-control which could lead to a loss of orientation and crashes. When the control sticks are released, the airplane immediately goes back to level flight enabling you to relax and enjoy just 'guiding' the airplane through the sky. Most importantly, takeoffs are as simple as giving full throttle and letting the airplane fly off a suitable surface, or by giving it a fast hand launch over surface areas such as lawn, and landings are as easy as reducing the throttle and letting it glide to a landing on its own.


 

Intermediate Mode

This flight mode permits more liberty in pitch and bank, however still avoids considerable over-control and the airplane does not return to level flight on its own. This permits you to make tighter turns and to climb and come down faster as your skills advance.


 

Experienced Mode

In this flight mode there are no pitch or bank angle limitations so you have total control! You can even fly inverted (upside down) and carry out aerobatic maneuvers including loops, rolls, stall turns and more.


 

 

Panic Recovery

If you lose control of the airplane in the Intermediate or Experienced flight modes, just activate the Panic Recovery mode with the push of a button and release the control sticks. SAFE innovation will immediately return the airplane to level flight.
