Application Temperatures

Adhesive activation

At 200 degrees F the adhesive on ParkLite becomes active, enabling the covering to be connected to the design. While 200 degrees F will totally bond the to the design, it is well below the temperature level that causes ParkLite to diminish. This is exactly what's needed when very first connecting covering to the design to prevent the covering from distorting.

Shrink Start temperature level - 280 degrees F

At 280 degree F ParkLite begins to diminish. This is called the diminish onset point. After the covering is connected using an iron set to 200 degrees F, the next step is to diminish the covering. This initial shrinking is finished with the iron set at 280 degrees F.

Maximum Shrinking Temperature - 350 degrees F

At 350 degrees F, ParkLite reaches it's optimal diminishing point. Raising the temperature level above this will not trigger it to diminish more.

This covering is not suitable for foam designs since of the high shrinking temperature.
