F4U 1400mm PNP with Reflex, Blue...

Overview

The Opportunity Vought F4U Corsair was a carrier-capable fighter airplane that saw service primarily in The second world war and the Korean War. Need for the airplane soon overwhelmed Vought's production capability, leading to production by Goodyear and Brewster: Goodyear-built Corsairs were designated FG and Brewster-built airplane F3A. From the first model delivery to the U.S. Navy in 1940, to final delivery in 1953 to the French, 12,571 F4U Corsairs were produced by Vought, in 16 different models, it is the longest production run of any piston-engined fighter in U.S. history (1942–1953).

The Corsair served in the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marines, Fleet Air Arm and the Royal New Zealand Air Force, in addition to the French Navy Aéronavale and other, smaller sized flying force till the 1960s. It quickly became the most capable carrier-based fighter-bomber of The second world war. Some Japanese pilots regarded it as the most powerful American fighter of The second world war, and the U.S. Navy counted an 11:1 kill ratio with the F4U Corsair. As well as being an outstanding fighter, the Corsair proved to be an excellent fighter-bomber, serving nearly specifically in the latter function throughout the Korean War and throughout the French colonial wars in Indochina and Algeria.

The FMS F4U-4 Corsair is a remarkably scale tribute to this warbird icon that's a blast to fly. Sporting a set of 90 degree turning retractable landing equipment, completely practical split flaps, and it 's powerful motor turning a scale like 4 bladed 14X8 prop, offers you all you need for sluggish gentle landings to high-speed strafing runs and perky sport aerobatics
