Overview

The UMX™ Ultrix™ is a smooth handling, incredibly flexible delta wing with aerobatic and 3D abilities that you may not anticipate based upon its looks alone. The twin brushless motors deliver an unbelievable power to weight ratio that offers great speed, plenty of power to hover and unlimited vertical efficiency. Differential thrust includes the ability to carry out harriers, flat spins and more fantastic aerobatics. And incredibly long lasting EPP building makes this one of the most difficult ultra micro designs yet. The Ultrix handles windy conditions well, aided by exclusive AS3X® (Artificial Stabilization – 3-aXis) technology that works behind the scenes to smooth out the results of wind and turbulence for a locked-in feel — it's like you're flying a much bigger airplane. Optional-use SAFE® (Sensor Helped Flight Envelope) Select technology makes the Ultrix simple enough for low-time pilots to enjoy, and the ultra micro size and lightweight building are suited for flying almost anywhere. Competent pilots can let go inside in an area as small as a single basketball court, while large lawns, sports fields and RC fields make perfect outside flying websites for just about everyone. Completely factory-assembled, the Ultrix is all set to fly within minutes of opening package. Already own a Spektrum™ transmitter? Bind-N-Fly (BNF) airplane make getting into the air rapidly and with the very best control experience possible easier than ever. They come out of package with the power system, servos and a Spektrum 2.4GHz receiver installed so all you require to do is bind the receiver to a suitable transmitter, finish any final assembly, and fly!

This Bind-N-Fly Basic design is equipped with a Spektrum 2.4GHz DSMX® receiver including AS3X (Artificial Stabilization–3–aXis) technology that works behind the scenes to smooth out the results of wind and turbulence. The result is a heightened sense of stability and accuracy that makes you feel like you're flying a much bigger, expertly tuned aircraft.

If this is your first design of its type, or you want an extra margin of security while familiarizing yourself with the airplane, you can make it possible for the optional-use SAFE® Select flight envelope security technology constructed into the receiver. No complex programs is required.

With SAFE Select enabled, you get:

Pitch and Bank Angle Limits
These envelope restricts keep the airplane from rolling or pitching upside down. They also avoid excessive climb or dive angles.

Automatic Self-Leveling
The airplane quickly returns to and holds level flight when the sticks are released and in the center position. It's also useful for keeping the wings level throughout takeoffs/launches and landings.

Easy Change Project
The easy procedure for appointing a transmitter switch to turn SAFE Select features on and off does not need any programs and takes just a couple of seconds.
