Introduction
De Havilland Canada established the DHC-6 Twin Otter in 1965. Created as a rugged STOL (Short Liftoff and Landing) commuter airplane, the Twin Otter brought passengers and freight into severe environments like the sub-zero Antarctic and the scorching North African desert. Viking Air Limited bought the Type Certificates for all out-of-production de Havilland airplane in 2005 and revealed the Viking Series 400 Twin Otter Production Program 2 years later on. By mid-2015, Viking re-established the Twin Otter as an effective commuter airliner. The E-flite® UMX™ Twin Otter is an ultra-micro class scale reproduction that can be the ideal first twin-powered model for intermediate to knowledgeable RC pilots. Exclusive Technologies

The UMX™ Twin Otter is equipped with a control unit/flight controller that includes 2 ESCs and a Spektrum™ receiver that offers real-time flight battery voltage telemetry to suitable Spektrum AirWare™ equipped transmitters (including the DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/G3 and 8 G2, the DX9, NX6, 8 and 10, the iX12, iX20, and others) while you fly.
 



Twin Power
Powerful twin brushless motors with counter-rotating three-blade props provide an exceptional power-to-weight ratio and long flight times with typical and budget-friendly 1st 500–800mah batteries. Differential thrust uses yaw control for easy ground handling and carrying out aerobatics.
 







Gear Options
The UMX™ Twin Otter can be flown from paved and other smooth surface areas utilizing the tricycle landing gear, or you can fly from water, including swimming pools, ponds, and lakes, utilizing the optional float set (sold independently).
