Introduction
The E-flite® Twin Timber 1.6m uses the same simple handling and STOL capabilities Timber models are known for – along with additional benefits, efficiency, and distinct abilities due to its twin power setup – to make it the most capable, long lasting and steady Timber yet! The specially-tuned motors are compatible with popular three and 4S 2200–5000mAh batteries and are matched to a special "dual" Spektrum™ Avian™ Smart ESC. The BNF Standard version is also geared up with an AR637TA receiver to provide real-time telemetry information – plus differential thrust and reversing for distinct aerobatic and other capabilities – along with AS3X® and SAFE® Select technologies. The airframe is ended up in a fresh and contemporary trim plan that features practical flaps plus LED landing, navigation, and strobe lights. It also consists of optional-use leading edge slats and can be flown from water using the optional floats (offered separately).

Overview
The E-flite® Twin Timber 1.6m is not "simply another Timber with another motor" – it's the most capable, long lasting, steady and distinct Timber yet! All the popular features from other Timber models exist: shock-absorbing landing equipment with large, tundra-style wheels; optional-use leading edge slats; practical flaps; and an LED lighting system with landing, navigation, and strobe lights. The Twin Timber 1.6m also features a big top hatch for faster, much easier battery changes. Plus, it's geared up with the strongest landing equipment set up on a Timber design yet to improve the toughness and STOL ability when flying from rough surface! The more efficient twin brushless motors are three and 4S-compatible and are matched to a special 40-amp Spektrum™ Avian™ Double Smart ESC that can supply a range of real-time power system telemetry information with Smart and non-Smart batteries via compatible receivers (consisting of the AR637TA set up in the BNF® Standard version) and Spektrum AirWare™ geared up transmitters. The BNF® Standard version is geared up with an AR637TA receiver to supply full-range, real-time telemetry information, consisting of battery voltage, ESC temp, and more — plus differential thrust and motor reversing for unique ground handling and other capabilities — along with the advantages of AS3X® and optional-use SAFE® Select technologies. The larger 2-piece wing adds to the stability, and large control surfaces with flaps that can take a trip both methods offer control and capabilities like Timber X models, consisting of optional-use full-span ailerons. Combined ports make it much easier to install and eliminate the wing, and there's even a custom-made clip in the fuselage that holds the wing joiner so you don't lose it when the wing is separated. Best of all, the wing-mounted motors make it almost difficult to break props or harm the motor and installs if you ever nose over! They also supply great clearance when flying with the optional floats also utilized for Timber X 1.2m and Timber 1.5m models. And all of it adds up to make this a great first twin-powered, Short Take Off and Landing (STOL), everyday sport and even aggressive aerobatics capable design for a wide range of pilots!

Already own a Spektrum™ transmitter? Bind-N-Fly (BNF) aircraft make entering into the air quickly and with the best control experience possible much easier than ever. They come out of the box with the power system, servos, and a Spektrum 2.4GHz receiver set up, so all you need to do is bind the receiver to a suitable transmitter, complete any final assembly, and fly!
 



Exclusive Technologies
The Twin Timber 1.6m is geared up with exclusive Spektrum™ AS3X® and SAFE® Select technologies. AS3X works behind the scenes to smooth out the results of wind and turbulence to provide a locked-in feel that makes it seem like you're flying a much larger airplane. Optional-use SAFE Select uses pitch and bank angle limits and automatic self-leveling that can be turned on and off at the flip of a switch! And if you {don't|do not} wish to make it possible for the SAFE Select features, bind the receiver generally, and only AS3X will be active.
 






Smart Technology
Both the PNP and BNF Standard variations are geared up with a special Spektrum™ Avian™ Double Smart ESC that can supply a range of real-time power system-related telemetry information consisting of battery voltage, ESC temp, and more – with Smart and non-Smart batteries – via compatible receivers (consisting of the AR637TA set up in the BNF® Standard version) and Spektrum AirWare™ geared up transmitters (consisting of the DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/3 and 8 G2, the DX9, NX6, 8 and 10, iX12, iX14, iX20, and others) while you fly. Plus, reversing and differential thrust offer improved ground handling for much easier taxiing, departures, and landings, along with the ability to carry out unique aerobatic maneuvers.
 



Versatile Gear Options
Thick lawn, gravel courses, dirt trails— even local lakes and ponds—you can fly off of these and many other surfaces that are difficult for most models of this size to handle. The shock-absorbing landing equipment is the strongest set up on a Timber design yet and is geared up with large, tundra-style wheels/tires to absorb the bumps of rough surfaces. The optional float set (offered separately) features dual water rudders for excellent steering control. Whichever equipment option you select to fly with, both are simple to install and can be swapped out in minutes.
 






STOL (Short Takeoff and Landing) Capable
The wing style has a bigger span and more area than the Timber X 1.2m and Turbo 1.5m models, plus it features drooped wingtips and can be geared up with the included optional-use leading edge slats for improved slow flight and STOL efficiency. These features, along with the light-weight style, large flaps, and high-power brushless power system, make it possible to spring into the air or float down to land in as little as a few feet or less.
 



Flexible Twin Power
The factory-installed twin brushless power system features a 40-amp Spektrum™ Avian™ Double Smart ESC plus specially-tuned motors that provide an abundance of thrust with a three LiPo battery or more speed and unrestricted vertical efficiency with a four battery without the need for any adjustments or upgrades. Plus, the wing-mounted motors make it almost difficult to break the counter-rotating props or harm the motors and installs if you ever nose over!
 






Durable Precision
Composite-reinforced, hollow-core construction with EPO material provides a lightweight yet long lasting airframe. And the factory-installed metal-geared servos are exact, long lasting, and reputable.
 



LED Lights
Like most other Timber models, the Twin Timber 1.6m comes with realistic-looking LED landing, navigation, and strobe lights that are factory-installed and powered by the flight battery.
 







Easy Assembly
No glue is required for assembly, and because the couple of parts that need to be put together easily bolt into place, the Twin Timber can be ready to fly in less time than it requires to charge the flight battery. The two-piece wing including combined servo ports makes it much easier to remove/install the wing. Plus, a custom-made clip in the fuselage holds the wing joiner, so you don't lose it when the wing is separated!
