All the popular functions from other Wood models exist: shock-absorbing landing equipment with large, tundra-style wheels; optional-use leading edge slats; functional flaps; and an LED lighting system with landing, navigation, and strobe lights. The Twin Wood 1.6m also features a big top hatch for quicker, much easier battery modifications. Plus, it's geared up with the strongest landing equipment set up on a Wood model yet to enhance the toughness and STOL capability when flying from rough terrain! The more efficient twin brushless motors are 3S and 4S-compatible and are matched to a special 40-amp Spektrum™ Bird™ Dual Smart ESC that can supply a variety of real-time power system telemetry data with Smart and non-Smart batteries through compatible receivers (consisting of the AR637TA set up in the BNF® Basic variation) and Spektrum AirWare™ geared up transmitters.
