Introduction
The E-flite® Twin Wood 1.6m uses the same simple handling and STOL abilities Wood designs are known for – along with fringe benefits, efficiency, and unique capabilities due to its twin power setup – to make it the most capable, durable and stable Wood yet! The specially-tuned motors are compatible with popular 3S and four 2200–5000mAh batteries and are matched to an exclusive "double" Spektrum™ Bird™ Smart ESC. The BNF Fundamental variation is also equipped with an AR637TA receiver to deliver real-time telemetry data – plus differential thrust and reversing for unique aerobatic and other abilities – along with AS3X® and SAFE® Select innovations. The airframe is finished in a fresh and modern-day trim plan that includes practical flaps plus LED landing, navigation, and strobe lights. It also consists of optional-use leading edge slats and can be flown from water using the optional drifts (sold independently).

Overview
The E-flite® Twin Wood 1.6m is not "just another Wood with another motor" – it's the most capable, durable, stable and unique Wood yet! All the popular functions from other Wood designs exist: shock-absorbing landing equipment with oversized, tundra-style wheels; optional-use leading edge slats; practical flaps; and an LED lighting system with landing, navigation, and strobe lights. The Twin Wood 1.6m also includes a big leading hatch for quicker, much easier battery modifications. Plus, it's equipped with the strongest landing equipment set up on a Wood design yet to improve the durability and STOL ability when flying from rough surface! The more efficient twin brushless motors are 3S and 4S-compatible and are matched to an exclusive 40-amp Spektrum™ Bird™ Dual Smart ESC that can provide a range of real-time power system telemetry data with Smart and non-Smart batteries by means of suitable receivers (including the AR637TA set up in the BNF® Fundamental variation) and Spektrum AirWare™ equipped transmitters. The BNF® Fundamental variation is equipped with an AR637TA receiver to provide full-range, real-time telemetry data, including battery voltage, ESC temperature, and more — plus differential thrust and motor reversing for unique ground handling and other abilities — along with the benefits of AS3X® and optional-use SAFE® Select innovations. The larger 2-piece wing adds to the stability, and oversized control surfaces with flaps that can travel both ways offer control and abilities like Wood X designs, including optional-use full-span ailerons. Integrated adapters make it much easier to set up and get rid of the wing, and there's even a custom-made clip in the fuselage that holds the wing joiner so you don't lose it when the wing is separated. Best of all, the wing-mounted motors make it nearly impossible to break props or damage the motor and installs if you ever nose over! They also provide wonderful clearance when flying with the optional drifts also used for Wood X 1.2m and Wood 1.5m designs. And everything adds up to make this a great very first twin-powered, Brief Remove and Landing (STOL), daily sport and even aggressive aerobatics capable design for a vast array of pilots!

Already own a Spektrum™ transmitter? Bind-N-Fly (BNF) airplane make entering into the air rapidly and with the best control experience possible much easier than ever. They come out of package with the power system, servos, and a Spektrum 2.4GHz receiver set up, so all you require to do is bind the receiver to a compatible transmitter, finish any final assembly, and fly!
 



Exclusive Technologies
The Twin Wood 1.6m is equipped with exclusive Spektrum™ AS3X® and SAFE® Select innovations. AS3X works behind the scenes to smooth out the effects of wind and turbulence to deliver a locked-in feel that makes it appear like you're flying a much larger plane. Optional-use SAFE Select uses pitch and bank angle limits and automatic self-leveling that can be switched on and off at the flip of a switch! And if you {don't|do not} want to allow the SAFE Select functions, bind the receiver usually, and only AS3X will be active.
 






Smart Technology
Both the PNP and BNF Fundamental variations are equipped with an exclusive Spektrum™ Bird™ Dual Smart ESC that can provide a range of real-time power system-related telemetry data including battery voltage, ESC temperature, and more – with Smart and non-Smart batteries – by means of suitable receivers (including the AR637TA set up in the BNF® Fundamental variation) and Spektrum AirWare™ equipped transmitters (including the DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/3 and 8 G2, the DX9, NX6, 8 and 10, iX12, iX14, iX20, and others) while you fly. Plus, reversing and differential thrust offer enhanced ground dealing with for much easier taxiing, departures, and landings, along with the capability to carry out unique aerobatic maneuvers.
 



Versatile Gear Options
Thick grass, gravel courses, dirt tracks— even local lakes and ponds—you can fly off of these and many other surfaces that are impossible for a lot of designs of this size to handle. The shock-absorbing landing equipment is the strongest set up on a Wood design yet and is equipped with oversized, tundra-style wheels/tires to soak up the bumps of rough surfaces. The optional float set (sold independently) includes double water rudders for exceptional steering control. Whichever equipment alternative you select to fly with, both are simple to set up and can be switched out in minutes.
 






STOL (Short Takeoff and Landing) Capable
The wing style has a bigger period and more location than the Wood X 1.2m and Turbo 1.5m designs, plus it includes drooped wingtips and can be equipped with the consisted of optional-use leading edge slats for enhanced sluggish flight and STOL efficiency. LED Lights
Like a lot of other Wood designs, the Twin Wood 1.6m includes realistic-looking LED landing, navigation, and strobe lights that are factory-installed and powered by the flight battery.
 







Easy Assembly
No glue is required for assembly, and since the couple of parts that require to be assembled easily bolt into location, the Twin Wood can be all set to fly in less time than it requires to charge the flight battery. The two-piece wing featuring combined servo adapters makes it much easier to remove/install the wing. Plus, a custom-made clip in the fuselage holds the wing joiner, so you don't lose it when the wing is separated!
